Yes. Or look at dembele after one year in bundesliga.

I have been impressed the more insee of him, if our scouts think he is the best fit among young strikers not mbappe than 75 mil range is fine. Get the right player and not stress about a 15 mil premium.

Yea thats how i see him.
Hes not very mobile. Plays a bit like Zlatan, with his back against the goal, which doesnt really suit us.

Yeah I don't think hold up play is his strength, but he is a quick and powerful forward, with good shooting touch too. Reminds me of a less polished/refined Suarez (in how he moves along physical attributes and balance/center of gravity) and that is not what would describe as a static poacher or target man.

Well if that is our concern now then i don't know why we even scouted him a bazillion times because that was quite obvious from the start.

I don't think he is just a poacher, he doesn't only play in the box and when it comes to technical abilities and speed he isn't bad. If we speak about a "real 9" at least, not compared to players like Griezmann of course. Even guys like Kane or Lewandowski are poachers then thats just how most strikers play so we'd have to look for a completely different type of forward, but these also most likely won't score like Suarez from the get go and don't have his physical presence. Perfect fit doesn't seem to exists at the moment.

I think it's more about the seemingly rising price and that Suarez was playing better the last weeks than say 3 months ago so we probably don't see the need to sign a player that can only play as a lone striker in our formation for 70+ mil right now, especially since it looks like we're finally closing in on De Ligt for another 60-70M.

I can tell you id much rather go for jovic than rashford, the latter has never shown the scoring ability jovic has this year.

Jovic is fast and mobile and interchanges, not your typical solo target man and in the box scrapper i think of a poacher at all.

Not a very reliable source but it says RM is prepared to pay 60M for Jović while Frankfurt is demanding 80M because Barça had a pre-contract with Frankfurt and they have to pay us compensation if they sell him to another club. So some of uncle Flo money could go to us. :lol: Another great move by GOATomeu if this is true.

Obviously if Jović will turn out a great signing for RM (which I'm affraid will happen) and we'll have troubles finding Suarez's replacement this could change. Jović is still my prefered option and I don't agree with concerns about him not being able to play outside the box (but mostly, I prefer someone who can score and Jović can do that) but 80M is probably really too much. I think the club would still consider signing if his price range would be around 50M.
