People are so f* obsessed with UCL. Is it prime trophy? Yes. Are others f* shit? No. Every trophy counts. La Liga is the best league in the world. Stats are supporting it. Ask clubs without trophies.

The days when Barça fans invaded the potch for reaching UCL qualifiers are something some of us remember. So the La Liga is somethin that should count.

In a static world it may be, but for the past 2 seasons it's been going downhill due to top teams' weakening will to win it. Barca merely care about it marginally more than others on a regular basis and still if somebody took a binary survey which would you prefer to win, I guarantee CL would win.

It matters less and less for the moment. We're in a blip of its popularity so teams look elsewhere. Attendance figures are dwindling and they'll probably go down for Barcelona in the next decade in particular. Bundesliga surpasses it even in TV viewership figures.

But it's not likely to be a continuous downhill slope anyway. Ironically it is only due to lack of new younger attacker generations breaking through, for both Madrid, Barcelona or any of the top6. Vinicius is the only talent that makes people consistently tune in on individual quality. Everyone else is a sore disappointment.

Barça did'n waste his peak nor his prime, just look at what the club has won over the last decade and a half, no club has done better.

Could the board have done better, probably yes but lets not get caried away, the CL isn't everything.

We could have done better. And it's not just not winning the CL. It's getting humiliated more often than I'd like to remember.

And his comment was about the board not what happened over the last decade and half.

Barca did not waste his prime. Yes we definitely should have won more champions leagues but winning the league proves who's best all year round. We lost a couple of champions league quarters because we had 3 south American players in attack who just came back from tough conmebol world cup qualifiers at a time when they needed to be fresh. We lost to atletico in one tie who we would have definitely beaten over two legs normally and same with juventus. I really wish the champions league had been made into a proper league years ago. I think we would have won it a few times and lucky real wouldn't have

The most ridiculous thing this board has done is wasted his peak.

Can’t even imagine what he’d achieve had we been better or more aggressive in the market.

I'm not sure how you can blame the Barcelona board for wasting his peak when we've literally been the most successful club in the world across all competitions since his peak started in 08/09.

Apparently, Messi used to not talk about football at home after a loss before. But now with Thiago, he can’t get away with it: “It’s always hard to digest defeats and poor performances, but Thiago forces me to comment on what happened and explain why we didn’t win. We talk a lot more now.”

Take Messi out the side and that's about where Barca would be which is kind of the point. Since Pep went the club haven't took advantage of having the best ever player in the side in CL. Due to Messi we usually win the league with him scoring and assisting every week.

Well, coaching is a big and important thing. It is not just 11 Messi's on the pitch etc. I am a bit downgrading the matter but the point is here. Even La Liga wouldn't be won without Messi with our current(recent) coach(es). So my point is, folks, enjoy La Liga titles while you can... it won't be so "annual" event in shortcoming future. With current coaches and without Messi UCL will be fiction and La Liga will be on a thin line. I rate every La Liga real high. Such a shame for recent one lost by Neyboys stupid red card.
