He was the definition of being bang-on average till November in 2016. And then again he was plain average till March in 2017! In fairness to the critics out there, he actually was called out last year. So much so that people even started declaring the end of his illustrious career last year! Which is when the supporting cast of Real actually played a huge role in keeping them in the league. And then he did play a major role in the tail end of the CL! Does raising your level only for like a quarter of a season warrant you a Ballon d'Or? Of course not! But you would have some Barcelona fans in here who keep over-rating every other club out there & their players and keep downgrading Barcelona & their players (whom they apparently support) say otherwise!
