Watched the goal over and over. This guy has the calmness, strength and composure of a Shaolin Monk.

GOATinho.

What I love about his goal is that he was determined to shoot. He didn't hesistate or ball-hog and wait for a pass like other players would have. He was absolutely determined to score that.

On the day Spurs have all the ball and cant score at home to Swansea Paulinho scores a great goal minutes from end to get the three points for Barca away to Getafe.

Its a funny old game.

That was a crucial goal. Its not worth 40 million but it's these small contributions that help.

Loved the fact that he just muscled his way through and blasted the shot in. No falling down and crying, no cutback and fancy pass, just a determination to put the ball n the net. Watch how the defender bounces off him, we just don't have that. He's good in the air too, something we should make use off.

His name should be Powerlinho!

Is Paulinho's lineage 100% native/indigenous?

He's got that tan and straight hair like an Asian. Anyway, he looks like an ancient warrior, and I don't even like tattoos but I'll give his a pass.

He's tall(ish), fast and strong and built like an MMA fighter with lungs to run for days.

Fuck it, I'm all in the PaulinGod train now. Let me in the tribe boys.

The thing that wins me over more than the goal is his humility afterwards in his post-match comments. Fights for the collective and to further the interests of the team, hopefully he ends up being a tier above the dead weight that we damned him to from the first minute.

“The most important thing is that the team got back on the scoreboard, which allowed me to score comeback goal.

“Anger in my celebration? It was a celebration after a difficult match. “Ultimately, the most important thing was to come out with the three points.

“It’s difficult to score in these situations, but I received a great pass from Messi and I’m very happy for my goal.

“Getafe? They have great players, quality players and we conceded a goal, but we kept our peace of mind and patience to turn things around."
