Change of tone by Klopp, now he is open to talking, maybe they are ready to take cash plus one of our players.

Unfortunately that quote is a result of AS clipping together different answers to different questions.

Sensationalism at its best.

I completely understand Klopp. If he sells Cou then Liverpool's season is over. What's left in the club is EPL midtable material.

Anyways , looks like he's agreed to stay with Liverpool for 12 months ..... quite a gamble on his part assuming we will want / need / be able to afford him next summer .

Ed- still think this is a decision both Coutinho AND Klopp will regret for the rest of their lives .

So much can change over a season ... We may simply not need him or the board / manager could be new , there's always the chance of a bad injury .

Klopp should have put Coutinho's feelings and career ahead of his own ego.

We've also seen situations like this before and it never ends well for the player , sadly .

Starting at the weekend everytime he doesn't have a great match he will see people saying his heart is not with Liverpool . He has to be man of the match now in every game and that simply won't happen.

lmao consider coutinhos feelings? but shouldnt coutinho consider klopp's feelings then? Klopp's dream is to make liverpool a great team.

It's a reasonable decision and speaks for Coutinho's personality. He told Klopp he wants to leave for Barca, but also said that if his wish is denied then he will stay professional for the remaining year.
As a gentlemans agreement Liverpool will not put any obstacles in his way next year and he is free to move, either to Barca or elsewhere. This is mutual respect for each other and something football lacks nowadays.

Lol, stupid analogy, Klopp has another 2 decades or more to fullfill his dreams as a coach of whatever team he decides to coach, while Coutinho has maybe 8 years left of prime, for him its this or next year to join team he has chances to win major trophies with.

And how do you know that? You know a guy who knows a guy too? This rambling over Dembele for wanting out and saying so, and praising Coutinho for staying put is ridiculous. Different guys who want different things in life , so we now shit over the one who shows a little more ambition?

because not everyone thinks like an egoistic cunt, some make simple compromises instead. And it's in Liverpools great interest to offer and honour such solutions, so that future dramas like this can be handled in similar professional manner.

No it's 2 guys wanting the exact same thing, just that 1 is going with the more sensible approach and I can absolutely respect that.
