To be fair, I really don't think Verratti meeting with Messi would be a good thing. If anything, it would upset Nasser even more and our minimal chances (I'd say around 1% at this time and that's pretty optimistic) to get Marco would become 0,000000000000000000000%. Of course they could say they met coincidental because they were at the same time at the same place but them hanging out publically at this time still don't think it would do us a favour. Anyway, if rumours are true we have to convince PSG, not Verratti.
It's one thing if Verratti's agent is talking with Barça's representatives (agents are doing this all the time to keep options open for their players) and we have to do that to see if Verratti has real interest to join us and if it even makes any sense to start negotiating with PSG but it's totally another thing talking directly with the player so I hope whichever Barça representatives are currently in Ibiza (If there really are anyone there) won't use that approach. I know these things happen all the time but it's just not right IMO. We also weren't happy when there were rumours that PSG has talked with Neymar and even Messi behind Barça's back.
I don't think a club is allowed to negotiate with a player without the permission of his club so Barcelona will not do this. And this Ibiza story is just media. Verratti is in Ibiza, so is Messi with Cesc but Cesc is not joining Barcelona. Also nothing wrong if they met each other. Football players are not enemies. Alot of people go on holiday to Ibiza. Theo Hernandez for example is also in Ibiza, but he isn't joining Barcelona either. If he was linked with Barcelona twitter would explode with rumors.

difference between these situations is that Neymar and Messi didn't want to join that plastic club because they already played for the best club. On the contrary, Verratti seems to be very interested to join us and in the end we are doing nothing different what they did last year. Makes this case not better, but if a player really wants to leave a meal together won't change anything. Everything is up to Verratti and PSG now. It is a very difficult situation for Verratti himself, because he will need to push for the transfer and could end up at a PSG if some things don't work out. Then he is at a club where he doesn't want to be anymore and his relationship to the representatives will be way worse than it was before. It isn't easy for PSG either. Verratti is their future, but he (probably) wants to leave and a player who is somewhere else in his head isn't always the best player. I expect them to extend his contract with more salary, promise him quality signings and to try the "It's all water under the bridge" after some months even when he tried to push for the transfer.
