Let's not give him time. Afterall Suarez, Neymar and Turan hit it off in their first match.

Oh wait...

Suarez had a crazy assist in his first game in El Clasico and Neymar scored against Atletico in his first game.

Arda's issues were more down to mentality than ability as well.

Haters gonna hate Paco gonna... Pac?

Give the guy some time. I know he's not a Barca type of a forward but he might still come good. I have hopes for him.

But as of right now It's comical we sent Munir who had just started to bang them in on loan to develop another young striker.

This is precisely why I won't be giving him time before I expect anything. If he's going to come in and replace our young striker who was playing pretty well for 30m he had better be a damn good upgrade and I am still waiting to see that happen.

This isn't his fault. It's expected he won't settle in this quickly. It's completley on the board. If you want to give a hard time to someone give it to them.

He's our player now and if his first season is shit which is expected than we shouldn't start hanginig him. It takes a while.

Munir would have done exactly the same yesterday. Especially if he'd have played as a number 9. The midfield and the team in general just wasn't good enough, created nothing at all and struggled to break Alaves down.

What the hell is the point of him being here if his first season is expected to be shit and Munir was loaned out for one season? I was under the impression we signed him with the intent of him being the 4th forward we've been so desperate for.

But Munir didn't cost us 30m and wasn't brought in specifically to give rest to our front line.

We never needed a fourth forward IMO
We had Munir who was coming good, Arda, Denis and Rafinha
But we had to go after that "desperately needed fourth forward"
Like a guy who's got a good wife home, but goes out chasing other people's wives

I'm just disappointed that we spent 30 M + Munir for someone who will take a while to adapt and by the time he does, Munir will be back and better for us

Or the thought of Munir choosing to stay at Valencia for good

There were matches exactly like this last season where Munir didnt do shit even when he started. Bigger picture, Paco is a better bet than Munir any day. Get of the Munir hype and be realistic ffs. Judge him after a season in this team, and not after 66mintues in a game where some of our best players also played like shit. Its not like Munir was banging in 30 goals a season and we decided to sell him and buy Paco. People here ready to pounce even if he sneezes out of form. Ridiculous

You've waited what, 66mintues before deciding he isnt good enough. Remember when you wanted us to sell Arda because you thought he would never be good enough, right before he started playing really well. Point is loads of people on this forum judge players way too quickly, and later they end up backtracking.

He's definitely not 30 M better than Munir
That's if he's at all better than Munir

funny how professionals who've won multiple trophies thought Alcacer was better than Munir, however some people here are convinced otherwise. and yes I dare say Lucho has a better judgement of players than we do on this forum. such blasphemy

The problem is Barca number 9 role isn't all about scoring goals, it's also about moving around the pitch, try to being 'play-maker' at the same time and get the ball and pass it to others but not just staying in the opponent's penalty area.
And that's why Suarez is successful, he sometimes comes back and take the ball from middle, and so on.
So Paco failed to do this especially when there is a bus parked front of you. He seems like to run towards penalty area while expecting to get a ball from someone, therefore we didn't see anything from Paco against Alaves.

I hope he improves tho, Lucho has got to do something with him.

They also thought Arda could play the Rakitic role, Vidal could defend as a RB,
They also thought Douglas was the next Alves
They also thought Vermaelen would all the sudden recover from his injuries and be worldclass

They are not infalliable just so you know
