He was the best option for us. Can play all positions in defense and 25 mil. was a great price in this market.

He was strongly considered but I think perhaps one of the reasons we didn't pull the trigger for him was because he's not that great on the ball(Yet) compared to some of the younger targets that were on our list.

It's just a wild guess by me though.

I really hope we are right with choosing Umtiti over Bailly because I really feel he'll become a great player.

But now he'll go to my currently 2nd most hated club in the world so I won't even watch him much. :(

Getting some business done early is always good. No idea who he is, buying young with potential is a good sign from Mourinho though. Hope we keep Rojo though was always pretty solid at CB as opposed to FB.

I am hoping and praying rojo is the first to go. Absolutely shitehouse of a footballer. Shaw and CBJ with Blind (If he stays) is more than enough cover at LB and hopefully we bring in another cb so we can get rid of the fraud.

I seen some people talk about Mou turning him into the new Ivanović.

I can see it actually considering Bailly, is tall and fast and can play in all areas of the Defense and probably fits Mou's ideal RB.

He looks to be the business. Will pick up a few yellow/red cards along the way though because of his style but boy have we missed a player like him ever since Vida left. Easily my MotM today.

Love him cant believe hes 22 tbh, exactly what an ideal CB would be. Hard in the tackle and able to distribute the ball. Jose said he was injured vs Leicester too.
