His compatibility with the squad too. Never been a CM nor an AM in the sense the team plays.

Nothing to do about it now. Fully expect him to stay, work hard and perform better or else he'll be set to be remembered among the club's biggest flops ever.

Btw, it's not just his mediocre performance that is an issue, it's the effort he's making too. In his first few months he was already fined a few times for arriving late or other things. That's a lousy first impression to make for the club of your dreams.

any manager who would prefer and old Turan over Pogba should be sacked immediately. It was Bartomeu move and backed by Lucho so he can win more votes.

Bartomeu didn't need to sign Arda to get more votes. He'd get more votes with Pogba signing but there was no way he'd sign here last year and then sit out for half of the season. People clearly forget that when they say we should sign Pogba over Arda. Lucho wanted midfielder to help us last season and he thought Arda could do that. He clearly didn't adapt as quick as we hoped but will get another season. I still believe in him to prove all doubters/haters wrong.

Anyway, even if we didn't buy Arda we wouldn't buy Pogba this summer. He's just too expensive.

€34 million + €7 million in incentives 5 long years contract for 29 years old player was a desperate move Bartomeu made when he wasn't even a president, and funny that if Bartomeu didn't win the election, the next elected board have the option to sell back Turan to ATM for a 10% loss. And you still think this wasn't an electoral singing?

I was checking their transfers and posted here a few weeks ago.
They never pay more than 10-15m.
Majority of their transfers are 0-10 Millions.
With 15m absolute worldbreaking fee for their level.

How about not get anyone at all (this summer) put our trust in Samper? I feel he could be a perfect CM/CDM. I say, just sell Arda, accept our losses now and sell him while he's still interesting to the big clubs and thus worth something. Sell him to the PL, if they can pay 40M for Batshuayi or Benteke, we can surely get at least 30M for Arda easy. In a perfect world, we get the whole paid sum for him right back. Anyway, let's say 30M for Arda, plus 10M for Vermaelen and 3-4M for Adriano and Douglas. That way we would have over a 100M transfer kitty. We could easily get Vietto and a full back (De Sciglio my personal favourite, or Azpi wouldn't be bad too) this summer. As for Arda, i wouldn't buy an immediate replacement right away. We already have that in Denis and Rafinha. That would also get Samper to stay. We could see if he can cut it here. If he does, it's like we get a proper new midfielder for free next summer, if not, we can always loan him out next summer and then buy a new CM.

Also, we would finally have some balance in the CM positions, with Roberto (when he's not playing RB, which he wouldn't have to so often anymore with the acquisiton of a full back) and Samper (when not playing alternative to Busquets) being Raki's alternatives (RCM), while Denis and Rafinha being Iniesta's (LCM) and possibly Neymar's (Denis) and Messi's (Rafinha). So all four CM alternatives would also have their 2nd position to play, so they would surely get enough minutes either way. Being linked right to this whole point, with this exact moves, we would have a little extra transfer money left (let's say 50 or 60M, since 40M (20+20) would go for Vietto and a full back this summer) for the future transfer windows if and when needed.
