Calm down mate. I'm an Argentina supporter even before I was a Barca supporter. To me, it seems like a curse, how else can you explain 7 final losses. And in 98, if Ortega never got sent off for a headbutt on van der sar and 2006 if pekerman never took riquelme off against Germany, it could have maybe been two more finals. Starting to lose faith in football

I am calm. I know we are cursed. There is no other explanation. I was just referring to the fact that only Argentina must pay for a cheat by losing these many finals one after another. Some pages ago someone said it is about learning how to finish off chances. Well, it is not like all these final winners were doing everything right when they won it. But apparently in Argentina's case everything has to be perfect in order for Argentina to win it!
Portugal still beat the best team in that group, what does that tell you? Besides, the only good team France faced were Germany, really. Croatia isnt a bad team either, not on paper at least, "the easiest run of all time" was not much easier than France route to the final.

I know. I have a bad feeling messi will come back, we will make it to 2018 final and the bad luck will strike again. I am so fed up with football at the moment.

The more finals you lose, the harder is to win next one. If Argentina somehow get to 2018 final Im seriously thinking they will blow it again.

By barca-standard thats nothing i guess, but for the rest of the "mortal" clubs, its not bad at all. Not everyone can be a barca/Spain-freeloader like Pedro and win trebles every other year. Well, he obviously isnt anymore, and he has been winning trophies left and right since he left, right?

In the end CR7 got his Euro trophy. Most of the big boys had an easy route to the final .. including Belgium and France. Yet they squandered their chances. France was the favorite for the title any day of the week against Portugal and still could not convert. CR7 didn't get his glory goal to seal the deal. But it wasn't his fault he went off. If he did a horror tackle and got a straight red the story would be different. Also he did pull the team to the final with his 2 goals against Hungary and his header against Wales. So without him, especially in the Hungary game, they would not lift that trophy.
Is he the GOAT ? Maybe... maybe Messi is... but that is a debate that will never be determined as both players had plenty of successes to warrant being called the GOAT in the eyes of their respective fans. I am a big Messi supporter but today, I salute CR7 and Portugal.

And he being the GOAT, played for the best club in the world and the best club in England his entire career..... So that is definitely a very, very small figure for all the hype that's surrounded him!
For all the free-loading that Pedro has done, he has much bigger contribution to Barca's CL'11 than that CR has to CL'16 or EC'16 for example!

Cr7 isn't even in the top 10 of all time. For me the top 5 are maradona, messi, Pele, Brazilian ronaldo and Cruyff in no particular order. I rate iniesta above cr7 and I'm being serious. The only reason why people rate cr7 is because of his PR and stat padding, not on football ability and influence in big games.

ahahaha.... i do not know which numbers are used for this statistic.... WORLD CUP 1986: Argentina scored 14 golas, Maradona 5 goals + 5 assists =71% direct involved !!Diego was decisive in 6 of 7 games!!.. without mentioning the quality of his goals, goal of the century....
I could go on about this ridiculous statistic.
Numbers with no sense, typical for cr fans.
