Xavi Hernández V2

Most ambitious coaches whine a lot. The ones that sit in their place all happy and giddy are the ones who are used to not winning stuff.

Arteta for example would be sent off constantly like Xavi if he coached in Spain.

I was wondering what broke the forum last night.

Thought it was Klopps loss. Turns out Laporta and Xavi celebrating the one week of our CL exit with a buffet and him staying on.

Who says Xavi needs to know about talks with Klopp? Klopp is not going to manage for the next 1-2 seasons. Enough time for Xavi to show us he can keep developing this team.

If Xavi stays 2 more seasons, hell, it's the longest period in ages for a Barca manager.
So you approach Klopp telling him what?

We want you to sign with us a 3 year contract. We know Xavi is still at the wheel but don't worry, we'll fire him by Summer 2025?

Yeah, Xavi for 3 more seasons, his world class football is worth it.

He is not gonna sign anything for a couple of years. He just needs to find out that in our board's mind, he is the next manager. These elite managers need to be courted. To know that they are wanted as the one.

At least some changes in his staff it seems. We'll see if Torrent will also join as speculated yesterday.

As SPORT learned, the chosen one is Julio Tous, a specialist in strength work and injury prevention.

Barça wants its players to 'fly' from the first day of the next preseason. With that objective, and being aware of the dizzying pace that matches against the best teams in Europe demand today, the club wants Tous to complement the work of the coaching staff by contributing his knowledge in the field of strength, in which he is considered one of the revolutionaries.

What Barça intends with Tous, who already worked with the Catalan club in 2004, is to try to establish a structure based on proven professionals, internal and external, to optimize the performance of its players to the maximum, something that they have been doing for years. carried out by the main clubs in Europe, which have internally assumed the investment required and the fruits that come from betting on this type of structures outside of strictly football work.

Tous, who was part of Antonio Conte's Chelsea coaching staff that won the Premier League in 2017. In addition, he was also his right-hand man in the Italian national team and Juventus. With a proven track record behind him, Tous has specialized in studying strength work as one of the pillars of physical preparation: an expert in proprioception and the use of devices such as the conical pulley, inertial yo-yos and aerosling, a suspension training system.

Sources from the Barça club comment that it is still not one hundred percent defined what the Spaniard's fit will be in Xavi Hernández's cast. These minor issues will have to be resolved soon, although the entity is convinced that the sum of knowledge will help the team continue to grow in its attempt to reach the levels of pace and intensity that the European elite requires today.

The only downside is that the club will be in a morally bad position if in the next season/seasons Xavi does something outstanding. Which under the current econonic climate is a very very small possibility.

Maybe some pro like that is gonna help players that are defficient in the physical side of football. We have few athletes in their prime like Araujo and Raphinha. Most of the others are average or bellow in this area.

I know Xavi was an irational clown but this is clowning like children. You can't say you leave for you to remain.
I hope this is fake news.

From Laporta I expected to cry in 2 years over finances since he kicked out Messi and replaced him with a former poacher exdefender from Poland, but man this is getting desperate.
Trophy-less, meme material caracter, inability to promote youngsters that aren't hyped and forced on him by his transfers, wasted 200 milions, no staff, neither offensive, neither defensive strategy but a boring struggle like his mentor Van Gaal.
