What team do you miss having in La Liga?
Like to have our rivals (getting relegated) Espanyol in the league, i do miss teams like Racing Santander, Deportivo la Coruña, Levante, Gimnastic, Alaves, Zaragoza, Las Palmas, Malaga and Granada.

Who do you miss?

Yeah, pretty much agree with your list but will add some more names.

Of the teams you didn't mention would like to see both big Asturian clubs - Real Oviedo and Sporting Gijon returning to Primera in near future.

Asturian derby was just played last Saturday in Segunda and ended with a 1-1 draw. A result that probably didn't please any team but is a bit better for 18th placed Gijon who are now 6 points above Malaga with two games left.

Gijon have never played below Segunda (2nd tier) level. They've finished 17th last season (just 3 points above the relegation zone; Malaga who were 2 points above RZ are now about to be relegated) which was their worst ever finish. Could be even worse this season and still some theoretical chances for them to be relegated. Hopefully they can turn this negative trend around next year before they go down the same road as Deportivo La Coruna and very soon also Malaga.

OTOH Oviedo who were on a 5 game winning streak before the Asturian derby will be disappointed because they can't reach promotion playoffs spots anymore (they're 8th but 7 points behind Albacete; they were even closer last year when they've bottled a playoff spot to Girona - who were then promoted - in last two rounds) to return to La Liga where they've last played in 2001. They've spend most of the next 15 years in 3rd and 4th tier but are established Segunda Division team since 2015. Their coach is Alvaro Cervera who already got Cadiz promoted from Segunda B through Segunda to La Liga and kept them there in their first season.

And IIRC Oviedo's owner is Carlos Slim who is one of the richest people in the world.

Missing isn’t the right word but I’d like to see Deportivo and Malaga back in LL.

Same here but don't see it happen anytime soon. As mentioned above Malaga is on the verge of being relegated to Primera RFEF (3rd tier). What a fall down for them considering they were playing in CL quarterfinals a decade ago.

Deportivo are also playing on 3rd level for last three seasons. They're currently 4th in their group but only one team gets directly promoted (can still do that but they're 6 points behind Racing Ferrol with only 2 games left while Alcorcon and RM Castilla are ahead of them as well on the table so not very likely) and playoffs are always hard. Hope to see them back in Segunda next year and then maybe in La Liga in 3-4 years.

Cordoba is in the same group of Primera RFEF with Deportivo after being promoted from Segunda Federacion last year. In 2014-15 season they were promoted to La Liga after 42 years. Their most successive period was in 60ies when they've spend 7 (of their total 9) consecutive seasons in Spanish top tier. Also, in 2019 the club was bought by an investment fund from Bahrain so it probably won't take another four decades before we'll see them in La Liga again.

Another well known team that I'd like to mention is Recreativo Huelva. They're the oldest football club in Spain and were last in La Liga in 2008-09 season. Then nearly bankrupted in 2015 and after restructuring of Spanish football in May 2021 they were relegated two divisions to Tercera RFEF (5th tier) but got promoted last year and are now 2nd in their group 4 of Segunda Federacion (10 points behind Antequera who were already crowned as champions) so they'll have to go through playoffs to potentially play at the same level Barca B is playing now (if we won't be promoted) next year. Not in the same regional group obviously as they're from Andalusia.

I saw that Malaga team live in the CL campaign you referred to. Isco and Joaquin were on fire that night.
