We hit the post 2 or 3 times, had few other great opportunities (Paulinho, Paco, Messi headers), Pique's squandered opportunity...
Not to mention legit goal being disallowed (again). What we should be is 12 points ahead of Madrid.

I am not happy with way we played but let's be fair. Celta did well to punish our mistakes but they neither created more nor overplayed us.

We did more than enough to win the game and Celta had 3 chances all game and took 2 of them.

People forget we don’t have to play the best football to win, Madrid played badly loads of times last season and still won. The main issue yesterday was the ref and linesman, same with the game against Valencia.

Some Barca fans love to blame the linesmen, the refs, the few chances that "should" be goals, but if it happens to the opposition team, we wouldnt complain. That's no excuse. If thats the case, we deserve to win every game in the CL last season just bcos we "created more chances". Then every offensive teams like Arsenal or Bayern would always "deserve" to win every match. That's simply not logical. Not trying to be negative or pessimistic but our attack simply isn't good enough and the 442 made it worse. U could argue Dembele is missing but Dembele hasn't even proved much yet, he's still only learning the ropes.

Celta finished 2 out of 3 chances bcos they were from counter attacks. And they could even have more goals and chances. Nothing wrong with that and its not about "luck". And u have to give credit to Celta's defence. The draw seems fair; we were hardly threatening in front of goals and Messi saved us again. Other than the goal line error against Valencia, the offside against Celta was tight. And missed chances happens all the time.

And no, Madrid didnt play "badly" last season, they were dominating UCL, and controlled games. But Barcelona doesnt have any direction of how they they want to play their games, no clear idea how they want to advance in the final third, sluggish midfield resulting in defence falling apart.

At this point of time, Valverde needs to switch up the same tactics or experiment different players but he seemed to just lump in a bunch of old birds and expect them to bring results. Also, he seems to blame the refs every after match. This is no proper managing. Roberto in RB also affected us as he was isolated. If he still doesnt have a clear idea or purpose of where the team is heading, I can assure u this kind of results wont be the last.

Look at Valencia, they are no world class squad, but they have a strong hunger, and after Gary Neville left they seemed rejuvenated and ressurected. Valverde needs to instill his ideas and leadership in his own team, having that attitude of blaming refs, linesmen and even his own players (Semedo) is not acceptable. Harping on the refs or opposition or luck wont change a thing, only person who can enforce a change is the manager himself.

Best midfielder around
Seems to have worked out well for RM to exit the Copa early in the last two seasons. Kinda hoping we do the same so we can spend the energy on winning some big trophies. Winning the Copa only feels good if combined with other trophies. Felt like shit when we won it last season, IMO.
