It must be difficult for some of Barcaforum's Expert Transfer Analysts to understand how Real's incredible, smart and efficient transfer policies have left them in ruins.

lol True. Only a year ago people said Real is looking solid for the future and our club is in ruins. Funny how things can turn around in just 6 months.

Real Madrid losing this game doesn't change our chances of winning the league much since Atletí were already the bigger threat ahead of this round

It does affect their chances of winning CL, because now they can't allow to fully focus on CL.

PSG simply has to throw them out, it’s now or never for them. If they lose again against Spanish team they will implode.

Yup, the generation switch is seemlessly being carried out with the likes of Llorente, Ceballos, Vallejo, Asensio, Mayoral and Theo Hernandez already playing important roles in the starting XI!

Not to mention Kovacic is new Modric and Isco is 10x better than our entire midfield. I just want this fuckers out of CL ASAP so I can relax and watch meltdown in Madrid.

Well, Eibar haven't had a shot on target in the first half and only one off target. It doesn't look promising for a draw.

ATM will slip for sure, they are not on the level they were 3 years ago. Problem is they have few easy games in a row so we’ll have to wait some time.

Isco is good though. Luckily he seems to have rediscovered his early RM days form of relentless ball hogging and slowing down the game with no real sense of direction, though. Good on him!

The true ability of a manager is tested when they're faced with adversity. We got smacked by Madrid in the SuperCopa, Neymar left and Dembele got injured in his third match. What did Valverde do, he adapted the team to get the most out of them through a tough time and now we're flying on all fronts.

This is the first season Zidane is truly facing any adversity, he had no pressure in his first season since he was taking over midseason and got easy draws to win the CL. In his second season all of Madrid's players played out of their minds, got last minute winners and got favourable breaks. Now with a lot of his bench leaving, not getting Mbappe and the squad's motivation level dipping what does he do in response? He plays the same broken lineup and exposed tactics every match expecting different results.

The two are not remotely comparable, one adapted to overcome the predicament he found himself in and the other decided to be oblivious to it and allowed it to snowball.

Lets wait a bit with valverde, he didnt won anything yet, and with such investments CL trophy has to come to barca again (even in such short period he got nickname fraudverde), lucho also was doing good in his first season. About zidane, what do people expect from him? His 3rd season, he motivated team to win 2 CL in a row and la liga after few seasons, something that mourinho could not do it, or ancelotti (1cl in 2 seasons) and zidane takes credit for that, now they look bad, zidane cant probably motivate them anymore, ancelotti had same problem, mourinho before him, so why is he fraud? Keeping team like that on high motivation is hard, why every top coach does not last long in one club who fights for all trophys, why zidane should be different?

Isco is class the rest of their back up players like Kovacic are massively over rated by some on here and there star players are all getting older bar Kroos.

All this was said before but it was made out that Real are some kind of transfer gurus who have it all planned to dominate for years.

Well, the next three games ATM is playing at home against Girona, Las Palmas and Valencia. I doubt they will lose points there, maybe only against Valencia but I doubt.

Real Madrid still has many promising young players. One bad season (which hasn't even finished since they are still in three competitions) and their future is in ruins all of sudden?

Thats all they are is promising youngsters and they have a group of older first team players to replace.

Of course their future is not fucked but nor is it as assured as so many would like to claim.

You're right in that we need a CL trophy soon with so much money being spent, but with the way this season started and the way things were seemingly going for us a Liga trophy is more than good enough for this year. Next year is the year I expect us to win the CL or at least come close.

Zidane got Madrid motivated again, but how much of his own tactics contributed to their CL wins? I'd say more luck + individual brilliance got them further than Zidane's tactics did.

Also not being able to get Madrid motivated isn't a good excuse for being 16 points behind in the table, that excuse only works to a certain extent.

Zidane just isn't a great manager, all credit to him for winning the trophies he did with Madrid while they were motivated and on form, but when things stopped clicking he had no answer. A good manager finds a way to overcome these things or at least minimize their impact to a certain extent.
