And they are still capable players who are far from a used old rag. Casemiro still key to his NT, same with Varane, Carvajal, even Modrić. It's the managers job to give them a new challenge. Zidane doesn't seem to see how playing the same way they have for some years is the real issue, one he's proving he doesn't know how to solve. + lots of bad luck in trying to get continuity with the one pressure absorber in our team (Hazard) constantly out and absolute refusal to try a different striker log term despite ample opportunity and not weighing up long Vs short term gain correctly.

Squad announced for Shakhtar. Militao and Benzema back in, Hazard under evaluation, Ramos, Fede, Carvajal and Odriozola injured, Jović corona.

If we can get 2/3 of that list to be back for Atleti, we can win and start getting back on track.

And if Inter loses today, Madrid will not qualify if Shaktar win their last game against Inter. In which case Inter wont have any motivation to play their starting 11.

are we sure zidane will get the sack? the way things stand, inter and real can still qualify from that group. is the league form so bad that it warrants sacking him now?

I don't see any reason to sack him unless CL is in serious doubt after 20 weeks.
3 CL titles, 2 Liga titles in basically 4 season is way too much success to sack him after 1 bad season, nevermind bad half season.

Madritistas here will be all over me, but IMO Zidane had only 1 and a half good seasons until the summer of 17.
From then on, it was straight downfall despite making a pact with luck and winning another CL.
Last season, RM was utterly bad, it just happened that all the rest including Barca were even worse.

Given also that his best skill is to manage squad of stars at their peak, which is not happening now, I don't see why he should continue.
Especially given that one world-class manager (Poch) is free and ready to take job at any top club, and most of all is suited to rebuild.
Of course if Zidane stays until Poch gets the Man Utd job, that would be ideal for Barca.
