He's not even their key midfielder. Sure they want to keep him, he's youngish, French, and they're having ffp issues so replacing him will be hard. But let's not act like if we sign Rabiot we're doing anything more than slightly inconveniencing them. As for ourselves, well I'm not sure what to think tbh. As a back up he wouldn't be terrible, but not for the rumoured wages, and not if it means an excuse for Valverde not playing the youngsters we already have. Like what specific weakness of ours would Rabiot even address? It makes no sense.

It's true though.

We don't need anymore midfielders. In fact we need to get rid of a few midfielders.

Says Rabiot will run his contract down with PSG to leave for free next season. Barça has presented a new offer and a meeting between the clubs will happen tomorrow in Manchester
