Is it only me or are there others that agree that Gomes has improved? He gave a very nice pass to Jordi Alba who then set up Messi's winning goal. Sergi Roberto dribbled by both Modric and Marcelo in his run across the whole field, so he definitely redeemed himself for perhaps not doing enough to prevent James' goal.
What I am afraid of now is the tight schedule with only 2-3 days between matches. It will be tough to beat Espanyol away.

Some of the things mentioned here are completely false. When Messi equalized for 1-1 Lucho was on the line, raising fists. The cameras also caught him giving instructions to Messi and Iniesta. Or, as haters would suggest, Lucho was asking Messi and Iniesta for permission to bring in Andre Gomes.

We'll said bro. Lucho fucked up a lot but let's not go overboard.

Osasuna at home was always going to be great opportunity for rotations.

Nice to see him having a good time in his finale matches as Barca coach.

I'd say he's more lucky his rotations didn't bite us than smart. His rotations against weaker sides is the reason we're stuck hoping Madrid drop points for us to have a chance at winning the league.

The midfield basically creates no goal scoring opportunities these days.

We have to rely on the opposition midfield to create chances for us lol. There is no plan in place to break the opposition down. It seems like our attacks are made up spontaneously.

This team is not a Barcelona team. This team looks like 10 guys met each other for the first time on a football pitch and are lucky enough to have Messi join their party.

Messi is the target man in most of our attacking plays. And it's not that complicated, a pass to the wing (if it's Messi, he prefers to lob the ball to Jordi Alba), the winger or LWB runs/dribbles inside the area, who then proceeds to deliver a diagonal pass back to D10S, who runs/waits close to the penalty spot. Messi's second goal against Real Madrid was a trademark Lucho/Guardiola/La Masia play. Identical goal was the one Rakitic scored against Juventus in the final of CL 2014/15, although Raki's shot was from close range, it still had the same DNA with Neymar & Iniesta combination.

Unfortunately this play by now is overstudied by the opposition and Lucho did not introduce any new attacking ideas, instead it backfired with the defence losing focus and leaving too much space behind.

Speaking of rotations Barca has yet to play its established starting 11 of Ter Stegen, umtiti, Piqué, Alba, Roberto, Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta, Messi, Neymar, Suarez in a single La Liga game this season. Yes, better believe it.
