Valencia

2020 has been a wild year, but some things simply don?t change ? chaos at Valencia, anyone? There is now an internal war at the club to go with external fan discontent. A row reportedly broke out in training this week as Maxi G?mez and coach Albert Celades had to be separated.

Maxi ended up in a face-to-face confrontation with Celades, which apparently concluded with the Uruguayan directing a head butt at his coach. The rest of the squad were clueless to this, only figuring something was up when Maxi didn?t make an appearance at training the next day.

It turned out Celades had put Maxi out on his own at training and the players were forced to speak with the coach over what had occurred. It turns out Celades wanted the player cast out and fined but had done so through the hierarchy. Word spread to the players who were fuming.

The group of captains at Valencia (Parejo, Jaume, Rodrigo, Gaya etc) immediately side with Maxi. He was then reinstated to the squad after they spoke with SD C?sar S?nchez who holds a strong relationship with the players despite his early steps in the role. It doesn?t end here..

Both Kondogbia and Ferran have taken to Insta with some interesting posts. The former referred to a snake in the club regarding 'leaked' info about Diakhaby. The CB reportedly finished up a video session in tears and feeling singled out for recent errors (he later denied this).

In Ferran's case, the exact day it all comes out about what went on with Maxi and he is reinstated, the winger went on his Instagram and put a message of support up for the striker. Ferran himself is extremely dismayed at the club and their lack of love over his contract saga.

We?re still not over here! Two more players, Guedes and Sobrino, were unhappy with Celades. Guedes over being substituted and Sobrino over being told to warm-up in added on time. This is also an issue with Maxi re; substitutions, who is also unhappy with being taken out in games.

As it stands right now. Reports were last night that Celades wanted out and handed in his resignation. The club rejected it. Today, an emergency meeting at Paterna ends with Celades staying. Parejo takes to Twitter afterwards with the 'unity' post. The idea? See the season out.

Valencia had something going with Marcelino but of course, Peter Lim had to ruin it and sack him.

Amazes me Celades got the job considering he was underwhelming with the Spanish U-21 sides.

Peter Lim's daughter posted this message to Valencia fans but deleted it after some time...

Will be very interesting to see what they'll do this summer. Parejo and Coquelin are on their way to Villarreal for less than 20m and according to rumours Mendes will bring them Diogo Leite, 21 yo CB who has played a total of 9 league games for Porto for 15+5m. No need to say Valencia fans are unhappy. Maybe he'll turn out good but in this situation spending that kind of money on an unproven CB when they already have Guillamon and probably Jorqe Saenz coming back from Celta is not really ideal.

They also want Luis Suarez (not ours) on loan. This would be a good move imo but I believe Watford will prefer to sell him.

I read 13m for both! Valverde punching walls right now over that missed opportunity.

Coquelin to Villarreal is for ?8m and Parejo ?0. In the case of Parejo, he could end up costing Villarreal money through a variety of variables, both individual and club based. Even then, with every one met, the max he costs will be ?11m.
Those are the final figures on the deal. Been a lot of talk but those are what it is coming in at. Villarreal take on Parejo's big wages but still works out really well for them. In the case of Coquelin, the negotiations began at a much higher figure but were ramped down quickly.

Now Valencia and Villarreal are apparently also negotiating for Gabriel Paulista.

Also, here is a good article about their crisis...

40m for two unproven kids while they gave away Parejo and Coquelin for nothing. Great job.

Like FC Porto, Valencia has to sell to invest in the targets identified in the market and two of them are Diogo Leite and Tom?s Esteves, as A BOLA has realized. A double transfer that can bring into the coffers of FC Porto, at least 30 million euros, even though the clubs discuss the terms of the deal, with the Spaniards waving sports bonuses in order to lower the final price.

For the central and right-back FC Porto wants to receive 40 million euros. Valencia offers 15 + 5 million bonuses for each one. It is an overcome impasse. More complicated is seeing money circulating around the Spanish club's bands. But little by little, Valencia gains economic impetus to unlock business with FC Porto.
