Valencia

Not sure how many of you're aware, but they 've released Vicente guaita (the superman against Madrid few years ago), who's now joined Getafe fc. Los Che have loaned in Yoel (Lucho's #1 last season) as a back-up to Diego Alves, with a year-end buy option for 2.5m EU.

Yeh, some culers wanted him as VV replacement mainly after his madrid heroics. But he was never a consistent force. The Los Che fans had high hopes for him, and they're quite disappointed with his recent evolution.

Might be great news, might not. The first impact of Peter Lim on Valencia was to get rid of Pizzi in favor of Nuno as well as start to make a bunch of Mendes-influenced transfers. This makes it unclear whether Lim will in fact benefit Valencia for the long term or just take advantage of his ownership of player-rights in the Portuguese League and feed Mendes profit.

They beat Milan today with the Mestalla full of cheerful fans in light of the 'new era' at Valencia. Rodrigo, one of their new signings, got MOTM and scored the winner along with Paco scoring the opener. Hopefully they'll have two great forwards to rely on now instead of just Paco who popped up in the 2nd half of last season. Enzo coming in would really help things too.

Still a strange situation as Valencia dont even own a lot of the new signings. Although clearly it gets them a stronger eleven on the park.

Jorge Mendes with a big role in all this. Got to say he is truly deserving of the 'superagent' title.
