Tests confirm ligament damage in the right knee

Conservative treatment scheduled, with layoff set for eight weeks.

Thiago will be out for eight weeks after tests today confirmed damaged ligament in his right knee. The player will undergo conservative treatment with doctors estimating he’ll be out for up to eight weeks.

Set to miss 11 games

If Thiago is indeed out for eight weeks, he will miss a total of eleven games – against Benfica, Madrid, Deportivo, Celtic and Rayo in October and Celta, Celtic, Mallorca, Zaragoza, Spartak and Levante in November.

bah, shame.. but at least its not any worse.

Wish him the best with his recovery. Bit of a shame as youd expect him to get starts in a few of those games. Thankfully iniesta is back now..
