While I agree with his methods having aged, it's not impossible for them to succeed with this approach. They DID improve year on year basis. Silverware is something they need.

He's not sniffing CL or Premier League. And those are the two grade A titles he will be judged on. United messed up with appointing him. He doesn't have a team he can basically command like a military camp. And he can't build one either. And he doesn't know how to manage differently.

They've steadily improved, but it's baby steps. On the other hand City and Liverpool are much better than two years ago. Their improvement is much more visible. And they also play more appealing football. Mourinho doesn't have a leg to stand on. Spent a lot of money, got his team to play pretty dire football with the players he asked for and got, and won only 2nd rate trophies so far. And he's an annoying miserable prick.

Agree. I think on paper City walk the title again

League, sure. He won't regularly squeeze out drab 1-0's and will probably drop points against top6. CL tho? Not so certain. A lot depends on the draw and the confidence they'll get if they manage to hit a relatively easy stride to the semis. Sevilla situation shouldn't happen again.

United should sack Mourinho now, get Carrick in as manager retaining Martial and Pogba in the process. it might sound drastic and risky but at this rate he'll surely be sacked by December while alienating the dressing room with his 'mole' conspiracy.

damage limitation. Pogba and Martial will both be leaving if he stays another season

Carrick?! I think at this point let him see out his contract unless it goes drastically wrong

No, they should keep Mourinho, United deserve him.

This is great. Mou loves being the sacrificial lamb. He’s perfectly setting up the next manager for success with this group of players. Good guy José.

We really, really need a a CB or LB and RW asap. Then we should be fine.

Quite worrying nothings happened at the moment, hopefully Woodward is quite because he is flat out trying to sort deals.

Not holding my breath though.
