Supposedly they DID need to win 5-2... atleast that's what I heard.

It ended 5-4 to bayern. The rule is: "The club which scores the greater aggregate of goals qualifies for the next round, with away goals and then penalties used to determine the winner in the event of a draw."
If City scored 4, they'd be 1st.

well.. probably for the best since I'd rather face City than Bayern.

What would they have to gain from saying they didn't know though?

I think Pellegrini got put on the spot and simply said 'he didn't know' then had to roll with it, but everybody has made a huge deal about it.

Idunno i just don't buy it

Hi, its me..
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Sergio Aguero could be sidelined for up to two months with a calf injury.

The in-form Argentine striker limped out of Saturday's 6-3 victory over Arsenal during the second half.

..probably one of those injuries where he'll magically make it back on time for the game with us
