Klopp has spent £400 million at Liverpool and hasn't won a trophy.

Wrong. Including Fekir now, its only around £360m. And he has sold £255m worth of players. His net spend is currently £105m. Liverpool may sell the likes of Sturridge, Origi, Grijuc, Ings, Mignolet, etc. this season itself as well.

Klopp has taken over a poor mid-table squad from Rodgers and completely transformed it with a net spend of £105m. If you're going to criticize a manager for spending vs trophy correlation, at least put some context to the situation.

 Nice try. You can't add the totals of Keita, Fekir and Fabinho onto his spend and say he hasn't won a trophy yet when they haven't played a minute of football for Liverpool.

He's spent £222m from 15/16 to 17/18 but also sold £227m of players.

We will see what he can do with the rest of what he's spent next season.

Still gets an easy ride for not winning anything and having brought alot of players in.

Just pointing it out.

"Gets an easy ride"? In what way? The first half of this season, before LFC bought VVD, he was criticized to bits. Some LFC supporters were even calling for his sacking. Pundits saying he does not know what he's doing - he's too attacking, he's asking too much work from his players, etc. Then Salah really got into the groove, VVD came in and improved the defence, Robertson started playing well, they progressed deep into the CL, and all of a sudden everyone's singing a different tune. Currently he's being praised. Yes. But that doesn't mean he gets a free ride from everybody all the time.

Let me ask you this. Why are Real Madrid interested in Mauricio Pochettino as a replacement for Zidane? Why are people singing his praises? Is he as good as they say? He has spent £300m+ at Tottenham, bringing in 22 players. That's 5 more than Klopp. How many trophies has he won with that Tottenham team? In fact, how many finals has he even reached with Tottenham, domestic or otherwise? By your logic, does that mean Pochettino is a fraud, and thus, everyone praising him are stupid?

Poch and Klopp are both overrated bottlers, haven't won anything for years and get an easy ride because they run alot and play nice football.

You can spin as much net spend spiel at me as you want, liverpool fans have been banging on about it for years, the amount of players and average league finishes he has had Klopp gets a free ride.

Poch has been at spurs longer so will have signed more players and keeps pulling out higher league finishes.

You know... Ramos picked them apart pretty well.

Yeah, but other than that, the last time we bought a key player from them was in, what, 2009? You guys come around every other year and dismantle their team.
Logically, Pool-supporters should dislike Barca more than us.

I struggle to understand the logic which says disliking Barca over Real is normal. Mind me.

So you're saying Real Madrid are stupid for even being interested in Poch and that you know better than them?

Why shouldn't net spend be important? Not all clubs are like Real and Barca who have two of the best players in history surrounded by other world-class and top-class players, a lot of whom were bought from these other clubs, especially in the case of Real. If you're a team not at that elite level and you lose your bests player every year to the elite clubs and had to bring in and develop new ones, you're not expected to win trophies regularly. Klopp constantly lost his best players at Dortmund, yet won the Bundesliga twice during the height of Bayern's dominance. But yeah, lets conveniently ignore all that, shall we?

"Poch has been at spurs longer so will have signed more players and keeps pulling out higher league finishes."
LMAO! So now you're using league table position to further your argument, whereas previously, it didn't matter to you without trophies. Make up your mind, kid.
