This is the same old tired rhetoric of 'we should have beaten them' we've heard for at least a year. Yeah.. so? It says nothing about Valencia's quality, potential or their season. They are full of players who underperformed for the entire autumn and the Arsenal result came in the middle of their 3-frontal battle to try and qualify for the CL by any means necessary while also trying to win the Copa. Go find out for yourself about their setbacks coming from reliable assessors like Sid Lowe if you dismiss some people trying to educate you here.

“Educate” by trying to spin their SEMIFINAL tie in a European competition as some pub match they didn’t give their all in while also having no indication of their level  yea buddy okay :okay:

Wasn't what I said and no spin at all. Funny how every attempt at giving credit to the opponent Barcelona lose to under EV is automatically seen as a mitigating factor, because of how much you hate the current state of things. Used to this mental dissonance from Barca fans by now.
In fact I was saying something completely opposite - they did give it their all. Except they fought on 3 fronts for months and had to keep going in all competitions. No wonder their performances slumped in April-May quite a bit with a squad that's relatively limited (Kondogbia out injured, core midfielders getting tired and the phantom of missing easy chances coming back). Arsenal's main hope for a trophy and CL football was Europa league.

Valencia are a good team. They proved it again by fighting back from their terrible scoring form in autumn. No need to try to blanket them as "that shit team Barca couldn't beat that got thrashed by Arsenal".

Sarri lovers out of their caves lol.

A man who didn't have the authority to substitute his players is being worshipped for winning the mighty Europa League.

Man craves nicotine too much to be an effective manager he is clearly weak willed and refuses to change and adapt his tactics.

Hire him we all be battered 6-1 like City did to him

Looks like Chelsea are in the running for the worst board alongside Barca. They're probably letting Sarri go and will probably hire Lampard. What a downgrade.

It seems Sarri wants to go Juve and getting released by Chelsea.

Chelsea are making it look that way but if they really wanted to keep him they'd fully back him in everything. It looks like Sarri isnt being fully backed by Chelsea so thats why he wants to leave.

Should be a fun year. Don’t think many players know him, but he ought to command enough respect to install some regularity. Bar any disasters he will get at least a season. They can’t afford to sack him and end up in a limbo without being able to promise transfers to a new manager.

Don't think it reeks of failure. Nobody is crazy at Chelsea to expect miracles with this squad. If Lampard makes top 4 with Chelsea it's gonna a huge achievement.

Realistically, they're looking at 5-6th place in Premier League and probably last 16 exit in the CL. Which would be a decent season for them all things considered.

Now imagine the clause on firing the 2nd or 3rd highest earning manager in world football.
