The funny thing is that they've been buying some really good young talent all over Europe. Its up to Zidane now to make them play like a unit.

That's in the 3rd division of Spanish football, Segunda B. If it stays like that they get relegated to 4th division, Tercera A. Pretty embarrassing.

Not that embarassing if you remember that Pep took Barca B from Tercera to Segunda B some 7 years ago.

Wow where would Real Madrid C end up if the Castilla Team gets relegated?

Most likely the C team would be disbanded. Same thing happened with Barca C in 2007

Does Kiko still play for them?

Nope. He wasn't even seen good enough for them last year. Last I heard Real Madrid were trying to get rid of him and Hercules were interested, not sure if they managed to do that, but he's not listed in their squad so even if he still is there, he won't get to play any games for them.

I think Kiko's biggest downfall was his mentality. It doesn't matter how talented you are if you don't have the mentality needed to succeed at top level and when he blamed Barcelona when he left it became evident that he don't have it and that's what has been shown at Real Madrid Castilla as well, a team who were in the slump the entire last season, but he was still not deemed as good enough for them.

I've seen cases of that personally as well. Seen players who were a lot more talented than someone like Mats Møller Dæhli, but they were simply not serious enough or didn't possess the mentality needed to succeed at the top level and therefore their career didn't go anywhere.

Woah had no idea we went through that with Barca C. They've been buying some great youth players but its pretty evident they don't know what to do with them.

Perez said he is looking to close some of the youth teams and merge Castilla and the C team.
