If he leaves it will be either barca or real.

Bayern never pay that much and there are clubs like manu who can spend but he will ditch them because its not the high salary that he would be looking for when he leaves but a realistic chance at CL.

if he leave, it will be Barca imo. Madrid have Kroos & Modrid there.

he`s not gonna join europa league team.

Read something about Conte meeting with him during the international break to convince him to join Chelsea. Probably not a legit story but I do wonder if the Italian connection could lure Verratti to the Blues. A midfield with Verratti/Matic/Kante is plausibly the best in the world and, after factoring in players like Hazard/Courtois and Conte's astute tactics, Chelsea could realistically become a top 5 team in football at least. Virtually no defensive weaknesses with a huge level of energy/creativity going forward.

No matter how small the odds, Barca must make the full effort for Verratti because now is likely the best opportunity to convince him. Since the saga will probably draw out, Barca's performance in the CL is probably a critical factor to enticing him. He wants to win trophies and if we bow out to Juventus (one of our competitors for Verratti's signature) then that could make it less appealing. Winning the tournament may not be the ultimatum in this saga, but we should hope for a dignified and impressive showing at least. I also pray that Monaco wins Ligue 1, that would be destabilizing.

It was very stupid of him to sign the contract extension and that too for such a long period.

Even if he asks the club to leave they can easily stop him from him leaving.

Which one of the extensions do you mean?

July 2012: 5-year contract until 2017
August 2013: From 2017 to 2018
September 2014: From 2018 to 2019
February 2016: From 2019 to 2020
August 2016: From 2020 to 2021

It seems like a very very clear conscious decision to stay at PSG (with a bigger and bigger salary of course).
Agents say things every now and then (I believe he has withdrawn the comments somewhat already), but the extensions speaks the truth.

To clarify: It is not that his opinion doesn't matter. It matters very much - but only when he decides to extend his contract or not. He has decided to do that 4 times in 4 years, that seems pretty determined to me.

It's not determination to stay at a certain club, it's just a human nature, everything humans do , they do it for fear of the future (it's philosophical but it's true)

so when he signs an extra year, it means to him that an another year is financially secured even with the odd potiential of a career threatening inury, or a drop in level.

L'Equipe apologize to Verratti & Matuidi for reporting they partying in a nightclub few days before PSG lost 6-1 to Barca

On last March 9, during L'Equipe Type, we claimed PSG players Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi were in a nightclub two days before the second leg of the Champions League clash against Barcelona. The next day, this information appeared in the printed and on the online editions of L'Equipe.

Today, we know for certain that this information is false and was given to us by external sources with bad intentions. We would like to apologise.

We also apologise to gentlemen Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi for our wrongdoing against them, as well as their club and employer Paris Saint-Germain.

L'Equipe then went on to express their desire to avoid such instances in the future and reveal that internal action could be taken.

This failure on our part will lead us to reconsider how we function internally in order to continue to give you information of a high quality.

Yes, yes. I've said it a lot of times. That fraudulent site has nothing to do with the actual defunct Don Balon football magazine.

No matter the situation he always finds a way to retain possession and find someone open. He plays these cutting passes that slice through the midfield defenders and leave the forwards to face off against the CB's. He plays a sure game, nothing very fancy, all simple, but every effective football. Like adding a beautiful new v8 engine to your car, our team would run soo smoothly. Turbo charged with MSN, lord we would be unstoppable.
