What do Barcelona FC instill in their youth academies

I disagree mate, this " natural born talent" thing only gets people so far. Popular consensus is the "10000 hour Rule" that if you put it 10000 hours with a ball you could become a professional footballer, ie from the age of 6 to 16 doing approx 20 hours a week with a ball. Everyone has talent, its just about unlocking it.

I coach kids and I've had a young lad playing for me for the last 2 years and could not for my life figure him out, fantastically technically gifted, can do things with the ball adults can't do, but couldn't find a proper position for him to be at his devastating best. Last week I had him playing a year above his age group, and playing behind a big striker; the striker is also greatly gifted with the ball at his feet but doesnt muscle anybody; I've described him as a small man in a big mans body. while playing behind this striker he was absolutely brilliant, it seems playing off of a big man with good technique really brought him on.

I would also be very interested in learning how Barca trains their youth teams
