Euro 2012 champions back at the Club for their pre-season medical check-ups

Puyol, who was training last week, was also at the medical centre at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper

Jordi Alba and Montoya, who are still at the Olympics, are the only two squad members yet to report back

The summer holidays are over for Valdés, Piqué, Cesc, Pedro, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi. The Euro 2012 champions were at the Club this morning for their pre-season medicals, two weeks after the rest of the squad joined up . Carles Puyol also had his medical check up, although he had rejoined the squad last week after his recovery from a knee operation.

Valdés, Piqué, Cesc, Pedro, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi and Puyol were at the Ciutat Esportiva at nine o’clock this morning and underwent the following tests: echocardiography, densitometry tests, strength tests, muscle and bone ultrasound scanning and a biomechanical study.

    First training session this evening

The internationals and Puyol will train with the rest of the squad this evening at seven o’clock, after the players were given a rest day on Sunday after the game in Morocco against Raja Club Athletic.

The only two first team squad players who have yet to rejoin are Jordi Alba and Martín Montoya, who, together with Cristian Tello, are in London for the Olympic Games.
