Without Rijkaard we would have never won the 2 champions league trophies under Pep just like Rijkaard wouldnt have won in Paris without Cruyff, there all hugely important people in Barca's history and to refer to Rijkaard as a bad manager is insane and anyone who remembers Barca before him would vouch for that.

FR and HTC operated as a team,FR did the personal relationship with the players and was a soft friendly guy while HTC was more a bitch who leaded the training sessions.
As a team they were perfect,there was beautiful play and there were prices so what else did they had to do?
I think this is the same as the teamwork from Pep and TV.

Ouf! i was waiting a long time (urging myself not to post) for someone to say that..

Rijkaard coaching history also is a bit of strange.. He has managed 3 clubs and Holland national team (chronologically: Holland, Sparta, Barcelona, Galatassaray) //
The results show that alone he fails (sparta relagated, Galata nothing achieved..), but with a good coaching stuff (ten Cate here and Neeskens, Krol in holland) he succeeds..

Frankie's only mistake was sticking around when it was blatanly obvious that he had lost control of the dressing room. It wasn't a sudden change that caught us out but a slow and steady decline caused by a lack of discipline. His style of man-management was useless by the time we had gotten ourselves into that situation but it was a vital part of our harmony in his first three years in charge and calling for him to be denied his due credit for the success in 04-06 is madness.

Yeah, I remember what Xavi said in an interview not too much ago. How during Rijkard's reign, things like having a kilo more (Ronaldinho, how are you?) or just getting late for a training session didn't matter so much. This type of freedom allowed us to achieve some success, but after that it became just devastating it seems. The whole lack of control, all little things about the discipline, which make a big problem if you combine them in one.

And how Xavi said, when Pep came ... everything changed for real. Half a pound or getting late with 3 minutes - you're going to pay, motherfucker.
