First we need to take care and sort out what we already have :

1. I hope Xavi returns to the form that led us to three consecutive La Liga titles. He has been a little off-colour at times this season and hasn't had the same impact for us offensively as he usually does and I hope this is due to fatigue rather than age. We need him back to his best.

2. Figure out a way to effectively utilize Pedro. This guy was a very important cog in the Barcelona machine in the past and scored important goals for us.His lack of impact this season is now being felt and I hope he regains his confidence and form next year.

3. Play Iniesta in the centre. He is wasted on the wings and I think everybody outside of Pep can see that.

4. We need to buy two new central defenders. Puyol is old, Pique was never that good to begin with and Mascherano doesn't belong there. I've read that we've got some good new guys coming in from la masia but we need experience at those positions. We can't have rookies in there guarding the top attackers of the world.

5. We need to make use of the wings. We really struggle especially on the smaller pitches away from home when teams play narrow and pack up the middle. We need to buy some new players that are quick on the ground but also in the air (like Benzema).

6. We need a goal scorer to relieve the pressure from Messi. As we've seen in the recent important games,if Messi doesn't score we don't look like winning games.

7. We need to develop a plan B and take advantage of the wider areas. We need to buy taller players but who are also quick so we can be a threat from corners. We like to score 'pretty' goals with one touch passes and there are days when you are a little off with your passes and it makes things difficult. We need to learn from Madrid who can be effective in attack in a variety of ways. They can attack you down the middle from Ozil but also from wider areas and then whip in crosses for the likes of Benzema. With Xavi seemingly approaching old age, we might need to go with a more physical approach.

8. We need to probably buy a LB as Abidal's football career seems to over (unfortunately).

9. We need to figure out what to do with David Villa. I know he's been injured but even before the injury he was pretty poor and he's 30 so we need to figure out whether we're gonna stick with him or sell him.
