Yep. Valdes is underrated due to a few silly mistakes. The funny thing is how Neuer is hailed despite of as many or more stupid mistakes.

Keeping Valdes would obviously have been the ideal case, but since that is out of question getting MAtS is the best possible option. Courtois is better atm but potential-wise, he isn't ahead of MAtS at all. Will be thrilled if this goes through.

Because he also has those saves normally deemed impossible to a save. Not to mention his unique abilities with the foot.

Congratz to Ter Stegen. I'm pretty sure he'll be a success, though the first couple of matches might be rough. Big club, great expectations, new language and all that...

You probably have a better insight than most on Marc...Has to be difficult for a player of his quality to leave a club he's been at, effectively the majority of his life...What do local fans feel about his impending departure?

He wouldn't dismiss the renewal offer if he wasn't sure that a bigger, more successful club wants to sign him :)

If he ends up signing with Juve or Arsenal, it will be the biggest snub of all time in the history of football, probably. Almost like Lewandowski signing with RM last minute when he has been linking to Bayern since the beginning of time. :lol:
