    Default Barcelona vs Atletico Bilbao

Hey guys! In April I'm planning to travel from Cyprus to Barcelona in order to watch Barcelona VS Atletico. I've got few questions to ask.

Which airport is closer to the city centre?
Any suggestions for cheap accommodation to the city centre ?
How much is the transportation from airport to city centre ?
How far away is the stadium from the city centre ?
Where I can find a ticket for the match?
Can i buy ticket from the stadium before the match ?

    thanks in advance!

I'm also looking into this game. But before I book anything, I need to know for sure wehn this game will be played ? If Barca beats Leverkusen in the CL there will be a CL quarterfinal match on 3 or 4 April. So I'll take it that is almost certain that the game will be played on Saturday evening?

Firstly, read through this thread - it answers most of your questions: http://www.barcaforum.com/showthread...a-Travel-Guide

There is only one airport in the province of Barcelona (airport code BCN). Some airlines advertise Girona (in the Girona province to the north) or Reus (in the Tarragona province to the south) as serving Barcelona, which stretches the truth...

For transport, buy a "T-10" card from the train station at the airport. I think this is currently €9.25, and provides 10 journeys (a journey can consist of multiple legs, all starting within about 75 minutes - e.g. a train journey, then the metro, then the bus would just use one credit). Train journey from airport to the centre is about 20-30 minutes.

I would describe the stadium as being in the city centre (as opposed to being out in the suburbs), although it's about 20 minutes by metro from the main tourist areas (Las Ramblas, Plaça de Catalunya etc).

As for tickets, very few games sell out, and you should be able to buy tickets from the club on the day of the game. Personally I buy them in advance from http://www.servicaixa.com (one of the three official outlets - the other two are ticketmaster and the official FCB website - but the official site rejects some non-Spanish credit cards which is why I use servicaixa) and then print them from a Servi Caixa ATM when I'm in Barcelona. However, it's often hard to find two seats together, in which case just buy two in the same block or wait until closer to the day of the game and keep checking the website as season ticket holders release their tickets back to the club - you may get lucky.

Sorry, I can't help with accomodation, but if you search these forums (and read the thread I linked above), I'm sure you'll find some pointers.

    Enjoy the game!
