Default AC Milan - Real Madrid

One of the most promising ties in this round ,
Amazingly how the tables have turned in few weeks , before the first leg Milan was in Real Madrid shoes atm .
    Coach could be sacked
    playing below their potential
    bad results.

90 minutes of football changed all that , in fact if history repeat itself Getafe game could be like Roma game.

Milan has found form and climbed to the 4th spot with Dinho , Borriello and Pato finding their touch and the two Bwin & Adidas teams who between them have 15 CL will meet in a juicy encounter in Milano.

Both clubs has made a patch last summer as mentioned before and the top level relations couldn't be in a better form , the last game win enabled Milan to pick their CL campaign back on track and lie second behind Real .
On the Milan front all is going well atm and they just won 2-0 vs 6th spot Parma , while Real went back to their winning ways over Getafe thanks to Higuain and Manuel Pellegrini finally doing what the whole world was saying (Drop the 4-2-2-2 ) adapting 4-2-3-1 with Arbeloa taking the left FB position and moving Marcelo to his fav place the team finally looked coherent and the players found form, players like Xabi Alonso and Ramos played their best game to date, even Kaka looked better orchestrating the midfield .
the weak spot remains to be Benzema who haven't found form yet and fans are getting impatient even though usually it takes up to 6 month (Zidane )sometimes a year (Henry ) to get accommodated to a new league .
With Higuain playing El Salvador and saving Pellegrini job for another day it is expected that the same formation and selection of yesterday will be repeated again however CL top goal scorer of all time Raul could actually be playing instead of Dr. Evil so i don't expect much changes except Raul for Benzema.

    -----------------------Iker------------------------
    Ramos--------Pepe-----------Albiol----------Arbeloa
    --------------Lass-----------Xabi---------------
    Higuain-----------------Kaka----------------Marcelo
    -------------------------Raul or Benzema------------

regarding Milan the American defender is still out and our Milan fans could update us on Nesta condition who were taken out early vs Napoli and didn't play last night vs Parma

the rest almost the same with
    ---------------------Dida-------------------
    Oddo-------Thiago Silva----Kaladze-------Zambo
    -------Gattusso-------Pirlo-------seedorf---
    -----------------------Dinho---------------
    -------------Pato------------Pippo /Borriello

    prediction 3-2 to Real

    Real Madrid update:

Guti is again excluded /punished same for Metzelder , both are out of the team traveling while Adan & Drenthe return to the squad
    list summoned :

Casillas, Dudek, Adan, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Albiol, Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Diarra, Gago, Van der Vaart, Granero, Lass, Drenthe, Marcelo, Kaka, Higuain, Benzema, Raul and Van Nistelrooy.

When was the last time Madrid won in Italy?

Looking at that Milan side it is still pretty good imo. When Nesta replaces Kaladze its a decent back 4 with Oddo being the weakest link.

Midfield has plenty of experience but in dire need of fresh legs. I would swap Gattuso or Seedorf for Flamini as his energy would fresh up the midfield. Dinho is the enigma can he hack it anymore? well certainly in serie a but who knows in europe.

Pato is going to be world class no question and those 2 strikers Pippo and Borriello just aren't the future. But Huntelaar is and I'd like to see a Pato-Huntelaar front 2.

But the reason Milan won't win the CL imo is the lack of pace in the central midfield areas and a lack of a decent right back plus Nesta, their best defender is injury prone.

But if they can reach top 4 again in serie a and spunk out some cash on a midfielder, a striker and a full back they could be back in business. Oh and most importantly of all they must keep Pato.

Another embarrassing loss for the white shites. Can't wait.

Did you see Pellegrini's face when whats his face got sent off last night? The guy looked heartbroken. Almost terrified. Only a matter of time before he's unemployed.

    NESTA is paying suckers !
He was only resting in Parma match to strike hard on Tuesday. Await a couple more goals by him too.
Oh and the American defender isn't really good. He was third choice anyway.

As for the names you put, well yeah kind of true although I think Ambrossini might play instead of Gattuso and ofcourse Nesta will be in. Most probably also Inzaghi will start and then a substitution might happen. As for Oddo, although he is the suckiest person ever at crossing , he is very good at defense so I think Leo would use him too because he is playing 3 forwards and a clearly attacking midfielder ( Seedorf) so he wants the full backs to play a more defensive role.

    What I think should happen:
    Oddo should not cross.
Zambrotta should be cool in defense because he can cause at least 4 penalties in one game, that sucker.
Nesta and Sylva best duo in the world right now. Last match, it was not Real wasting chances that made them lose, it was these two guys with the help of the fullbacks that made Milan stay solid.
Offense-wise, no comment. Inzaghi wants Raul's head in SAN SERO and he will get it !!!

Although to be honest I sense it will be a draw. Milan is quite in form and Real puppies want to forget the Alcorcon massacre, so it will be tough.

Yeah, they messed up in the transfer season. Clearly they didn't want to spend anything.

Striking wise, I think they're good actually. They still have Ronaldinho and Pato and Boriello is great in Serie A. Only Inzaghi doesn't have much more time. They can get Paloschi back from Parma next summer. Huntelaar if given away can have a very good replacement: Dzeko who wants to join Milan. Also they might get Adiyiah ( the Ghanian under 20 champion ). They have good youth strikers too. So I don't see a problem there.

However, Milan are looking to improve the midfield so they are looking for Krasic in January although it's clearly not enough. They need a centre back too and they are looking for Zapata ( Udinese player).

The problem is fullbacks although Antonini, Flamini, Abate and Bonera are left for these positions because Oddo and Zambrotta and Junko are on a downfall. They also could have gotten Cissokho.

But the biggest problem of all is that they are not willing to spend. All these players hinted to come in January will stay in their clubs or even worse join other clubs.

Nesta will likely play, so I don't see as many gols as your prediction Beast, but the same outcome. Milan home form is horrible compared to the past years, the pressure of expectation is all on us to win I think. I have a horrible feeling Leo will give Boriello a start due to good finishing vs Parma, which makes us scoring unlikely. 0-1 for Madrid.

Meeeeeeeeelan 3-1 Madriz (Inzaghi 2, Pirlo - Higuaín)

mandril's record in Italy is just abysmal and the 2-0 win over a surprisingly poor Getafe side won't have made up for the humiliation in Alcorcón. The scum are still shaky at the back and lack coordination in midfield, Meeeeeelan will take advantage of this and win comfortably ensuring a full on CRISIS in madriz as people start to wonder if they'll be playing Europa League football in the new year.

What is the meaning of "Meeeeelan"? I don't get it.

We will probably be overcautious tonight, and Madrid will find a scrappy gol, probably via that little bitch Raul.

But thats according to logic, my heart says:

    FORZA MILAN! FORZA IL DIAVOLO!
