Messi - More than a footballer !!

May be you know this or may be you don't , but atleast you should read it once . We should all as human beings should try to learn little things from our lovable persons or iconic figures whom we adore. Here is a little story -

His name is Soufian Bouyinza , born in Barcelona with Moroccan parents . He is a kid who at the age of 8 , asked his mother to cut off his legs. He is suffering from Laurin-Sandrow syndrome .It is an extremely rare genetic disorder that can join all fingers in one hand in just one nail, lead to leg malformations and even to the amputation of both legs, which was the case for Soufian.



The boy adores Messi ,in his own word " I admire messi and love him the most." Yes, they met . Messi was so moved by the boy that he wanted to know everything about him. “I admire you a lot because you are fighting everyday for your goals,” Messi told Soufian.

“I have a special connection with him,” Messi says of Soufian. They met again on May 15, when Barcelona got the La Liga trophy after a goal-less draw with Deportivo La Coruna. Messi was so deeply touched by the boy , the moment he saw Sofian , he hugged him.

Over all those meetings, Messi promised to dedicate a goal to the boy. Soufian loved the idea, but the two of them had trouble finding a gesture that made it clear it was his goal. Just lifting one’s arms to the sky, as Messi usually does, would not do.And then Soufian had an idea. “When you score, touch your legs.” It was a done deal. The gesture came on September 17, in Messi’s first goal in Barcelona’s 8-0 win over Osasuna.


At this day , Messi is taking care of Sofian and his treatments and studies.
