It doesn't matter whether he meant it or not he scored that is what matters.

The guaranteed Europa League football for 2012/13 is already exceeding expectations.

Good that Papiss Cisse is giving us some bonuses!

I think Ben Arfa's goal against Blackburn is the best Newcastle goal this season though...

"It was a wonderful goal. It was the best goal of my career – I was so happy to score it. When the ball came to me, I was only thinking about scoring. It was an instinctive finish."

Most long-distance wonder goals are 'hit n hope'. It is as much about luck, as it is about technique. Besides, its not the intention but the final product thats rewarded. And in this case, the former(or the lack of) in any way does not detract from the grandeur of the goal. I'll be surprised if it doesn't make in to Puskas List 2012.

I do prefer Crouch's strike though. But both are wonder goals.

    Dat goal.

Lol at Crouch. This is one of the best goals I've ever seen, Crouch is gay.

lol, this post made me laugh. both goals were dynamite but your reasoning is pretty solid.
More than anything, the footballing standards they set there, which put the emphasis on looking after the ball, never risking it, never giving it away, always choosing the right pass and perfect control. And on a personal level, it teaches you that football isn’t the be all and end all, that you also have to be honest, hard-working and a good friend off the pitch.
