    Default The Guruceta case

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for information about a match between FCB and Real Madrid, on june 6, 1970.
During the 6th minute after break, while Barça was leading 1-0, the referee, Guruceta, awarded Real with a penalty while he was standing 35 meters away from where the offence took place and the offence was 2 meters or so outside the pentaly area. Afther the penalty, the supporters of Barça flipped, started trowing their cushions onto the field, didn't give the bal back when it was played into the crowd, etc. The match ended because of the supporters entered the field and the referee fled.
So that's basicly everything I know so far about this subject, and please correct me of anything what I just said about it, is wrong. Is there anyone who knows more about it? I'm also looking for pictures or video's, but besides one video of the offence, I can't really find anything.

I read the same thing in Jimmy Burns' book Barca: A People's Passion.

This might interest you. It gives a little more information about the incident and its aftermath.
