    Watch The Throne was garbage. like, literally just garbage.

    the beats were nice (especially Otis - check Bus' & DMX's remix) but the lyrics were just lazy garbage. sad Nas has fallen off. he kept Jigga in check way back when. now his closest competitors are nutjobs like Weezy or homos like Drake, he's just gotten soft.

    when you compare garbage like take care and tha carter iv to watch the throne, wtt looks like the greatest album ever made. aside from wtt, the latter part of this year was crap for rap/hip-hop.

    THANK YOU! You know how out of touch critics are when they rated that piece of poop so highly. I get it, it has "swag", but that self-indulgence isn't fucking innovative anymore, it's tiring. There's some catchy shit but I get it, they are rich and on top of the world, both of them have already said it before and in better ways.

    Take Care shows that Drake actually has hope by hanging around with The Weeknd, but I don't even consider Drake hip-hop, he's an R&B artist who occasionally wants to be Weezy but is far too emotional for that. Jigga can't really go The Weeknd route though, style aside he's just too fucking old and complacent to be talking about filling girls with pills and sexually humiliating them.

    Kanye is great at the manic-depressive self-indulgence, I loved My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but it's time Jay Z "retires" again and sticks to guest spots and producing. He got the money, he got the power, he got fucking Beyonce, he has nothing left to say. Kanye's shit might be worth gold too, but he's still a self-loathing headcase at least. That's the state of indulgence, self-loathing headcases. Gangster fairy tales were killed by 50 Cent, the choice is now either take it to dumb, psychotic extremes ala Gucchi Mane, or go introspective, and I don't mean "N***** in Paris", fuck that noise.

    Watch the throne had a few nice tracks but it was pretty poor i guess, Nas was brilliant in the Distant Relatives album not so long ago, his new single isn't so bad either
