2 girls 1 cup? What is this shit? Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos celebrating their Copa del Rey or what? Sounds really disturbing.
(...) and Carrick was faced with Xavi and Iniesta coming past him, and Messi in behind him. That’s 3rd, 2nd and 1st in last year’s World Footballer of the Year award forming a triangle around him – he desperately needed help (...)

Barca hold a key advantage here again, however, where Busquets has carved out a niche in shadowing deep-lying attackers. He knows what they eat for breakfast.

you haven't watched 2 girls 1 cup? OK if you haven't then...like don't watch it unless you really love disturbing things. Really if you have not watched it then I wish I was you

    Cmon Ireland!

I think we need to take the game to Croatia and see if we can nick a win. Possible draw against Spain if the likes of Richard Dunne and Shay Given can pull off another heroic perforamance like they did away to Russia. We draw home and away with Italy in the 2010 world cup qualifiers and beat them in a friendly. With an italian manager with years of expereince we could cause a big upset in this group. Unfortunatly Trap probably wont bring the likes of Seamus coleman, James Mclean etc as he's sticking with the tried and tested but considering the string of competitive cleansheets we have put together we have to have hope.

Ireland doesn't stand a chance on Euro!!There's no single proper player that can coordinate team!!I watched many games in group and only luck brought this team to this tournament!!some games were pure misery!!hope is all you can have but greece won't happen again...

I wouldn't discount Ireland. They can surprise folks and do have some quality players. Plus, they've got Il Trap as coach.

Still, unless there are surprises, I see Italy and Spain going through from this group.

My hope is that we get out of the group and anything from there is a bonus. Getting out of the group is not impossible. Our record aginst Italy in out last 3 games is 1 win and 2 draws. We will defend hard against Spain and anything could happen against Croatia.

Anyway 12 of the 16 teams were at Euro 2008. England and Demark make their first appearance since 2004 and Ukraine make their first appearance as an independent nation. Ireland meanwhile have not been at the tournament for 24 years. For a small nation we are bringing around 25000 fans to Poland. We may not win the tournament but we will still have a great time

I think you can get 4 points and thus a real chance to get 2nd spot. There is nothing to fear from Italy or Croatia.
Football is a simple game, complicated by idiots.

I feel so bad for the Irish squad.

For the WC Qualifiers they fought and got through to the play offs- but we're drawn against an international footballing giant, France. They do what they can at home, but are still beaten. SO now they have to go to Paris, away from home, already behind, against a team much, much better then them.

And what do they do? Play the best bloody game the team had in a decade. And overall, tactically especially, they actually done it; they deserved to go through. But then the referee missed a double-offside and a handball in one play. They were out... like that. In that way.

And then, the injustice of it all got worse. After [effectively] stealing their place- France go to the WC, and play as if they don't even care to be there. They wasted, completely wasted, the WC place they didn't deserve to even have.

SO then the Euro qualifiers come up. Ireland are drawn with the last (before Spain) WC winners. Ah crap, not again. Oh, but then they fight like hell and draw them, both times! (Unlucky not to win one) They we also lucky not to get a point from Russia.

And then, finally, a bit of luck. Estonia. They were drawn against a team who, for once, wern't bloody brilliant, but only 'meh'. Hammered 'em 4-0.

YES! All the bad luck over..-? All the..-? Oh wait- then they get drawn with Spain, the World Champions and best in the world, Croatia, who are freakin brilliant, and Italy again, great team, hard to score agaisnt. ....

    .........

    Yeah.

I seriously hope they can beat the odds and claim 2nd, but its likely they won't even score. I fully expect this to be the end table:

    Spain
    Croatia
    Italy
    Eire

But I'll get drunk and convince myself it can be:

    SPA, IRE, CRO/ITA, CRO/ITA.
