The squad is in training camp right now. It's looking more and more likely that he'll be on the starting lineup for the first game.

His U20 world cup is now over. Left some good impressions considering his age. Japanese Football Association has announced that their intentions are to get him ready for the U17 world cup later this year. amazing how someone gets to experience two world cups in a single year! i wonder if that has ever happened before

Technically speaking he will be 16 in a couple of days. No doubt he is a promising kid and I hope we will still attract him as a club by the time he turns 18.

He has visited his old teammates at Cadet A several times since leaving (he even trained with them during 2016 Xmas holidays), Barça send scouts to watch him in Japan, and he was invited to watch the CWC Final in Japan in 2016 where Barça won. He also met Bartomeu before the game. Everything points to Barça doing their best to secure his re-signing once he turns 18.
