Default CL: Milan - Barca 2-3

This Wednesday November 23rd 20:45 CET.

Expecting a good defensive performance from Milan at the San Siro. This is our toughest away game yet this season leading up to el classico in 3 weeks time.Barca are already through and so is Milan pretty much so not really do or die, but the winner of this game will most probably win the group so a win would ensure an easier opponent in the next round.

Biggest thing, for me, apart from winning the group, is to establish some rhythm ahead of the Clasico...To fine tune a squad that has yet to play with all it's key pieces available...Less than 3 weeks to go

exactamundo. pretty much everyone is available and injury free (Alves is suspended) so I expect Pep to field our strongest XI and get them in groove ahead of classico.

These Milan-Barca games are clearly the highlights of the group stage.

Still my expectations for this game are much lower than they were for the 2-2 one. I guess it's only prestige they're playing for.

Milan need to win this game.

If we do not concede within the first 24 seconds, then they might have to come out of their shells at some stage in the game...

    We should win this easily.

If we play above our 60%. Then the answer is surely yes...

Milan has qualified also. So I doubt the match will have as much importance for either club as it may be made out. Certainly from our point of view our league title is being contested more than it would have been thought - with our main protagonists Juve not burdened by European games. I think the Milan teams focus may be elsewhere other than the final shape of a group where we already qualified. The press build up in Spain for Barca would already seem to be Liga/Classico minded as well.

Have you people ever heard of first position?

Or would you fancy yet another English opponent in the Last 16 phase?

Any La Liga game currently is more important than this one. First position and we get some easy prey. Second position and we get some good high profile games early on. It's a win-win.
