The only reason Sevilla would open with RM is that they will try to beat them.... as they did many many times. Barca is a different chapter, and opening against Barca besides that it's a stupid thing, it's automatically a suicide.

Against Madrid even Levante has a chance.... cause they play a whole another game compared to Barca. Of course, a weaker one.

I guess you should know that already and not wait for someone to come here and explain it.

Sevilla is the best team Barca has faced since the SuperCopa de Espana. Lots of teams try to keep Barca from scoring, succeeding is quite rare. It was smart for Sevilla to give up offensively early on.

    Yep, that's the ugly truth.

Some teams will gladly take their game to Madrid and go for maximum points, but because of our current level, nobody(almost) in their right mind will play us the way they play RM, a point from us feels like 3 to them.

We just have to deal with it...
Alfredo Di Stéfano, Real Madrid's greatest ever player and the honorary president, spoke out. "Barcelona's football was simply brilliant," he said in his weekly column. "Their superiority was there for the whole planet to see: the whites were cornered all game. Barcelona play football and dance. They treat the ball with adoration and respect, almost nurturing it. To see this team in action is a delight."

True. But for some reason I cannot stop admiring those teams as long as they don't resort to tactics such as those that were implemented by a certain Mourinho when he was in charge of Inter and RM last year (Copa Del Rey final)

Apart from Kanoutés antics (which mainly had to do with frustration and not evil intentions) Sevilla behaved well which usually don't happen very often from teams who deploy such tactics.

So nothing but respect from my part although I don't favour that kind of football myself.

Teams are scared of our might, so prefer to defend.

playing against parked buses so often might make things harder for us initially but it only makes us better and more creative IMO, we usually take a while to get to the top of our game (early november) and with Alexis around parked buses shall be destroyed.
