Default Lliga: Barca - Sevilla 0-0

One of the tougher encounters in La Liga coming up on Saturday. I read that Negredo wont be available for Sevilla which is a blow to them. I haven't seen him perform this season but I think he is a great player and will be missed. Good that it's at home to help solidify some points at this stage of the season.

Anyone have any score predictions, line-ups or comments?

I'm predicting a tight win for Barca, perhaps 2-1.

    Predicted line up:

    VV
    Alves Puyol Abidal Adriano
    Xavi Busquests Iniesta
    Messi Fabregas Pedro

I've kept in mind some squad rotation for players, think Villa will come on at some stage, Keita, Masch and Maxwell in the mix as well.

    Up Barca!!!

Without Negredo it's gonna be tremendously harder to attack.... however Sevilla's offence will be focused in the flanks, with Perotti (hopefully ready for Saturday) and Navas, capable of causing troubles to Barca's defence.

The defensive part is Sevilla's strongest sector this season so far, so I'm expecting a tight defence, with much defensive roles and duties by Trochowski, Navas (on the right side) and especially Medel, who had a good time keeping Messi quite in the last game where we draw 1-1 at home.

However, I expect Barca to dominate the game as always, and to win comfortably, as they are in a great form for the moment. I'll approach this game for beautiful football, not hoping much for any good result, simply put, just gonna drink a few beers, eat pop-corns or something, and enjoy the game with my friends.... somewhere outside probably, so if anything in Sevilla's favor happens, I would laugh on Barca fan's faces, but they know me, probably the one and only Sevilla fan in Kosovo

I think this is the first really tough test of the Primera campaign since Valencia, tbh...On the road at a difficult venue against an opponent who is equally difficult to unlock...Even without Negredo, they will not be an easy opponent...Glad Cesc is back

should be a good game, Sevilla always like to attack.
I see them scoring, but we shouldnt lose at home.

+ Puyol will probably slot back in
    3-1

Yep this one is at home for Barca. Good considering we had CL during the week rather than being on the road. Better to have 4-5 days rest before playing the likes of Sevilla away. Navas worries me he can either not have an impact or be a game breaker - that's the impression I get of him.

Sevilla may be a bit fired up for this one. Apparently (if I'm understanding the article correctly), the president of Catalunya made some disparaging comments about the Andalucian accent recently. So Sevilla are wearing a special jersey for this game:

Is Negredo definitely out? Big positive for us if true.

Will be difficult anyway with MARTY CACERES in their defence.

I've heard Basques make disparaging comments about the Andualucian accent, seems to be a popular predjudice. I hope the Andalusians keep in mind that FC Barca is not Catalunya.

I'd expect Puyol and Thiago to start this game, Fabregas to play at least some if fit. I'd like to see Iniesta get a start at forward, the Trident just can't play two whole games every week.

why support a club you know nothing of? what do you think Més que un club stands for?

Pep says FC Barca is not Catalunya. What I should have said was that FC Barca does not necessarily share the predjudices expressed by the President of Catalunya.
