I read a tweet from Sid Lowe that Ruud Gullit had talked about Messi after the CL match and that it was impressive...Anyone know what this is from, Sky's broadcast or a podcast?...Would love to see, hear or read it
Paolo Maldini - "In my opinion, Messi should win the Golden Ball each year. He's an unbelievable player."
It was on Sky's Champions League goals highlights show from the 19th October.
After the Barca highlights they talked for a few mins about him and when they had shown all the other highlights, they talked about him again

Love you, gratzie...Fantastic share
Watched it and really enjoyed it, felt Ruud's sentiments mirrored many of our own...Considering what a great champion he was himself, that's high praise too

David Villa was immense against Plzen.
Is El Guaje returning to his imperious form of 3-4 years ago...
Hopefully... He's consistently scoring and creating chances for others, like many people said, it would be in his second season when we really notice him in our system.
I think he was quite exhausted during his first season with Barca, partly due to the World Cup, and partly due to him trying too hard to impress Pep and the fans.
Now he seems to be fitter, and more assured with the team and the way we play...
