Default Lliga: FC Barcelona - Racing de Santander 3-0

So let's fire this up and let me say that I expect either a 2-0 or 3-0 victory.

Now it's only the matter of waiting for the game...

    Default Liga: Barca - Racing

    FC Barcelona - Racing Santander

Saturday, October 15, 8PM Barcelona time

I'd say an easy match against 18th placed Racing but then I remember this is Barca coming after internationals.

I think it will probably be an unconvincing win, which after an international break id settle for, as long as we get the points.

That said Spain dont need to win their match on tuesday, so a few of our players should be rested, Messi did well for Argentina so he'll be in a good mood..
Will Abidal/Pique/Iniesta be back for this? Cant remember how long Iniesta was out for

Abidal returned to training with France and could play in their game against Bosnia & Herzegovina tomorrow. Pique (and Puyol for that matter) played for Spain against the Czech Republic last Friday, so both of them are fit. Iniesta wasn't called up for Spain NT, but has been in training at Barca while the other NT members are away. As far as I know, Iniesta is fully fit, but he will likely not start since its only Racing. I see him getting some minutes towards the end of the game.

Cesc and Alexis are still out injured. Villa was pulled from NT practice last week as a precaution, but ended up playing against Czech Republic so he's fully fit. I can't remember if anyone else for Barca is injured at the moment.

We are lucky that we are facing a weak team like Racing Santander after the stupid international break.

Iniesta's fit. Don't think Cesc is and Alexis definitely isn't.

I expect an easy win and with a quite heavy score, a manita is more likely.

should be easy.. although it comes right after the international break .. but after all it's only Racing .. Pique - Puyol will finally play together for barca .. last time that happened as both of them in CB was in the first match of clasicos sequence .. and lasted on for 60 mintues or so ..

Puyol got injured last season against Racing at Camp Nou and was replaced at half time .. hopefully it won't happen again this time

I have a feeling a lot of people will be rested, Messi included.

Cesc won't be fit. In fact he'll miss the CL match vs. Plzen too.
Should be back vs. Sevilla if we are to trust the Catalan press.

So, Xavi asked to be taken out of the Scotland game with a leg problem.

It's getting easier to pick the midfielders for the Racing game, not many unhurt ones are left.

    VV
Alves Pique Puyol Abidal (or give Maxwell a start)
    Masch or Keita
    Thiago Iniesta
    Pedro Villa Adriano

Good game to rest Messi, at least until the second half.

well .. Racing is a team that can do some experiment on .. but not to rest Messi .. I guess resting Villa would be better .. he was injured few days back ..though he did play twice for Spain .. I see he needs some more rest that he got on Friday ..

and yeah Pep should give Maxwell a start ahead of Abidal .. plus it would really really great to see Masch back in DM ..

I'd rest both Alves and Adriano who are yet to play their match and will return last.
Keita was the first to return from our internationals and I fully expect him to start.

    Midfield looks fresh:

    -----------Valdes
    -----Pique-Puyol-Fontas
    ---Thiago-Xavi-Keita-Iniesta
    Pedro------Messi-----Maxwell

Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta to be subbed in 2nd half.

Easy 3-0 or 4-0 victory for us.
