to be fair, he was playing in more of a midfield position versus gijon, which isn't his natural/normal position. i thought he did fairly well although he did give away possession kind of easily sometimes.Originally Posted by estranged

More than anything, the footballing standards they set there, which put the emphasis on looking after the ball, never risking it, never giving it away, always choosing the right pass and perfect control. And on a personal level, it teaches you that football isn’t the be all and end all, that you also have to be honest, hard-working and a good friend off the pitch.

As someone who does't live in Spain and can't have the daily spanish media information at hand I'm interested to know has any reporter asked Pep the reasons he changed the formation to 3-4-3 (in which IMO our team struggles) and what his responce was.
