Struggling to decide whether to get Fifa or Pro.
Pro has been garbage for a long time now.
Honestly I didn't like the demo that much. It is much, much different than Fifa 10 and 11, that is both good and bad. I'm wondering what difficulty some of you are playing at. I think there are 5 difficulties, if you play at pro, world class or legendary it is extremely difficult. I've been playing at World Class, and NO ONE, not even Sanchez or Messi can beat a defender down the line. If I do out-pace them down the line, the second I start cutting in towards the net they step infront of you. Pretty stupid that Zabalata can keep up with Sanchez.
I also found that on World Class, through balling is almost impossible. The second you through ball they either step infront of it or instantly get on the guy making the run. I only played it in two sittings but I found it really frustrating....I see a huge gap, Iniesta through balls it to Villa aaaaaand the defender is already on him, shoving him off the ball.
I'm not claiming to be a Fifa genius, but I know when me and a few buddies play our Virtual Pros our record for the season was always like 150 wins 30 losses 40 ties etc....I also would have like 350 goals in 200 games
Maybe I just need to get used to it but meeeeh
Edit: And have you seen the goalies?! When I try to lazer it from outside the box they are always outside of the net already blocking the angle....bah humbug! WTB Lazershows

Pwn'ing no0bs since 1985.
You'll get use to it. Timing your runs and passes to perfection is something that comes with time, just as you'll soon get use to the new defensive system.
Pro still beats Fifa for dribbling though. The variation to the outcome of the dribbles on Pro is SO varied that when you play Fifa, you find that there is no room for error and I agree that defenders are far too good for their skill level the higher the difficulty.

If I had to choose based on the last couple of years - Pro. I get Fifa first, get bored of it and then play Pro for the rest of the coming months.
PES is terrible.

The gameplay feels odd and clunky and nowhere near as smooth as Fifa, it's slow, glitchy (well, PES 2009 was), Online features are inferior to Fifa's, no Ultimate team, few amount of licensed teams, they have Ronaldo on the cover, etc.
Only thing PES has above fifa is graphics and the CL license.
