I think, in the end, the fact that Ribery gave many indications that the Spanish capital was his desired destination I can't see the point of choosing a player like that over a player who would wear the kit proudly, like Silva would
No he didn't. Quite the opposite. He has always preferred us. It's a bad rumour that says he will go to Madrid created by Zinedine Zidane. The person to blame is Txiki. All he has to do is instruct Abidal, to give Ribery the angry look in the dressing room and then he'll wear the Barcelona kit.

"Franck is the best player in Germany. He fits well into the style of Barcelona because he is very technical and has a lot of strength going forward. He wants to go to Barcelona"
    Van Bommel

"A attack with Franck Ribery and Lionel Messi would be phenomenal"
    His agent

He has just extended with Nike = win.

When asked whether Franck would like to play for Barcelona:
"Of course, who wouldn’t want to play for Barca?" and after that he added: "I only said that I understand now why he (Henry) has so much fun and has such a long contract there - nothing more, nothing less.”

End of discussion. He will be here. The attacking tridente of Ribery-Ibra-Messi will f*** everyone from the behind.

"Just because I don't watch La Liga, it doesn't mean I don't know who the players are."
Someone questions whether Guillem Laporta is a good player.
"I don't know him.... He'll be another crap player. "

My favorite attribute for a player is being able to run at defenders, and Ribery does it as well as anyone else in the world (except Messi and Don Andres of course)

Robben currently shows that he can do it better than Ribery ...

One, Robben isn't coming...Two, he's a diver and who wants that on Barca?...Three, the guy never tracks back...Four, we all know his history with injuries....You'd get more reliability with John Terry's fidelity

Silva can easily do awsome on the left, he's a genius and on the wing he will provide goals, lots of assists and he has quick enough feet to run at defenders...

That's why all we've heard for the last 9 months now is how he'd be a RM player?

Come on, even the managers of Bayern and Robben himself have been commenting specifically about avoiding RM...Why would that be the case if it was simply some RM orchestration?

    1. is ofc true but hardly the matter, as i am not promoting him as transfer target, just comparing to Ribery
    2. i havent seen him diving in Bayern so far
    3. so does Ribery (and perhaps even less)
    4. Ribery had hm ... like 3 different injuries so far this season ... and only a single bundesliga match with more than 45 minutes playtime ...

    1. Robben was just transfered so either the idea of him being transfered again or coming to Barca when he's doing well there just makes it really unlikely

    2. His career is more than half a season at Bayern...Everywhere he's played, he's been a diver and that's over many seasons.

    3. Ribery may not track back much for BM currently but his history as a player is as a good two way player...He will track back and I wouldn't confuse that with his unsettled situation in Munchen

    4. Ribery and injury prone don't nearly go into the same sentence together like Robben and injuries do

The difference being, Robinho actually said things about Barca...Find a recent quote where Ribery talked about playing for Barca

    1. I never questioned that. I just brought up Robben when someone stated that Ribery run at defenders like no one else does outside Barca, when i see Robben doing the same currently.

    2. I just said i didnt see him diving in Bayern. Is there sth wrong with my statement?

    3. Honestly, you use arguments against Robben that can as well be used against Ribery. And just delete "currently" and "history" from your statement. I watched every single match of Bayern during Riberys 1st bundesliga season ... and believe me ...HE DOES NOT NOR EVER DID TRACK THE FUCK BACK

    4. Once again, i just presented facts to you. If theres anything wrong with it then tell me ... Robben has more playtime than Ribery this season ... that makes an "injury proness" argument pro Ribery fairly invalid, dont you think?

My first point was that in a general sense, it's very unlikely Robben is coming to Barca...I didn't read anything in your posts that changes that for me.

If I watched one match of CR where he didn't dive and claim that he never dives, how accurate or how useful is a statement like that?...Robben's history (Just like Clownaldo), is laden with diving...He may not be doing it much, atm, with Bayern but that's what his history is...You don't lose the label of diver because of 6 months you haven't dived.

I don't have the stats but I would wager that in terms of winning balls back, it's no contest between Ribery & Robben...None at all.

Robben is healthy for 6 months and suddenly he sheds the injury prone label too?....A player like Ribery is injured this season (And unsettled, mind you, which can play into 'injuries') and suddenly he's on par with one of the most brittle men in football?

Quoting his agent does not equate with quoting the player
