Default Alexis Sánchez and Kiko Femenia to come, Bojan to leave in the coming days ?

    AS.com, Marca.com, ElMundoDeportivo.es, Sport.es, Barcastuff (Twitter)
    --------------------------------------------------------------

It was reported by the Chilean press that 22-year old Udinese player Alexis Sánchez has been granted permission from the Chile national team coach Claudio Borghi to travel to Barcelona to complete the transfer to Catalunya. Fellow Chile players were to congratulate him on the deal. The fee can reach up to €40mln depending on the variables and decisions made by FC Barcelona management. He would earn significantly less than if he accepted to play in clubs like Manchester City or Manchester United.

Hércules Alicante CF 20-year old right winger Kiko Femenia move to Barcelona is reportedly going to be closed very shortly. The deal can reach up to €3.5mln with variables.

Bojan Krkić's future with Barcelona appears to be a short one as his move to AS Roma, following a recent hiring of Luis Enrique as a manager (previously a Barcelona B manager) by the club from an Ancient City, faces completion in the upcoming days. The transfer fee would reach €10mln with Barcelona receiving the right of player buy-back at 20%+ of the previous transfer fee giving €12.5mln.

    ------------

I have seen the discussions in respective threads, but since negotiations appear to be in advanced levels I thought of a separate news thread.

IMO good buys and despite the fee I think Sanchez will be an exceptional addition to Barcelona squad. The signing opens up so many rotation options for Guardiola and further increases the strength of the club's bench. A signing of Mascherano's caliber. Going to be a great one.

Could've just discussed this in the transfer rumours, as it hasn't been confirmed by the club yet.

Kind of feels like we're backstabbing Bojan by selling him and bringing in someone who's only two years older than him. I really hope he does well and in Roma if he goes there and he gets an opportunity in Barca in the future. I really like this kid and I saw how sad he was during the CL celebration because he knew he'd probably not be in the team next season.

I actually think it's a good move. He will be coached by someone he knows well so he has room to grow plus a move to a much more physical league will hopefully make him stronger.

There are many statements from both sides of the deal so it doesn't seem to be a rumor. And TBH I think it's better for Bojan to leave, because it gives him the room to develop and will work with a coach who suits him and counts on him. There is potential for him in this move and doesn't take anything away from Barcelona. I don't think Bojan would have any hard feelings for Barca anyway.

Yeah that's true, in that way it's good.

But if you compare him to Thiago, who's not impressed everyone (when he's been to confident etc). If Thiago stays and Bojan goes then it's kind of unfair. Bojan has already proven that he can play really good.

I've read that Udinese and Villareal are interested in him aswell, what are your opinions on that?

It's a done deal, I believe...When both sets of papers report the same thing wrt to the other's transfers, it's usually a done deal

Sanchez wasn't the first thing that came to my mind in an ideal transfer season several weeks back...I thought a legit striker ala Rossi was the biggest need...However, I've been growing in my excitement over the possibilities of Sanchez - he could be a helluva attacking option to destabilize any opposing defense...Coupled with Leo?...It's drool worthy on paper but we'll have to wait & see if it translates to the pitch

I hope Kiko turns out to be a gem but everytime I think of him I am reminded of that panic attack episode - leaves me sooo uneasy about him

    Buy back clause for Bojan?

I'd like to think the fee we get for Bojan will be used for bringing in the young players who first play for 'B' then eased into first team... Jose Angel & Kiko Femenia. Botia too, although he'd directly join the main team

Sanchez would probably cost 30m + 8-10m as incentives.

So we'd have 15m to buy any extra player if need be. Also the cash to be generated from Maxwell, JEffren, Henrique, Keirrison, VicSan, Milito & any other 'B' team players like Jonathan Soriano. We already got some for Caceres too. And the installment of Ibra's fee.
I'd hope that extra player would be a targetman willing to be on the bench & maintain squad harmony. Milito, even though wasn't much as a player, made a huge contribution to the good environment in the squad last year

Be very satisfied with this if it happens. Does seem to be something about the Sanchez move at least

I think Wolfenstein is trying to jinx it.

    Oooh Yeah
Alfredo Di Stéfano, Real Madrid's greatest ever player and the honorary president, spoke out. "Barcelona's football was simply brilliant," he said in his weekly column. "Their superiority was there for the whole planet to see: the whites were cornered all game. Barcelona play football and dance. They treat the ball with adoration and respect, almost nurturing it. To see this team in action is a delight."

If we sell Bojan and Jeffren than we should think about Rossi again: for 3 forward positions we had 5 players: MVP+Sanchez and Ibi, but you must plan that Sanchez will need time to adapt to a new environment and league, the luck of forward options did nearly bit us in the ass and the end of last season when Villa and Pedro were out of form

Forget the money for ibra and caceres....
Rossel: Of course from the sales of players would not include income earned by Martín Cáceres or Ibrahimovic transfers, as those represent "losses" for Barca.

good player Sanchez, but he has still much to prove, imo 30m + 10m as incentives... ok rotation, but our regular are MVP.

I hope we dont buy Rossi.
