*sigh*

Pastore and Lucas still on the bench. Blanc can be such an idiot.

Edit: Apparently Pastore was ill.

- Probably the most confident football PSG has played all season. Looked dominant in all phases, cant think of a bad performance from anyone.

- Marquinhos was excellent. Were moments where it was easy to mistake him for Silva he was so good, which is positive to see given that he's struggled through this point in the season. Luiz's injury could turn out to be beneficial in the ling run if it allows Marquinhos to recover and maintain form.

- Kurzawa had his best game in a PSG shirt. To this point he's appeared tentative, but he was getting forward today such as he was back at Monaco. Finished his scoring opportunity with the coolness of a winger.

- Lucas! Finally finished one of his many scoring chances. Had a noticeable impact after coming on for Ibra, looks to be recovering his fitness of old so hopefully he's able to build off his last few matches.

Worried about Rennes terrible pitch and the fact that there's only one available CB. Have a feeling there will be some points dropped today

Good lord, verratti is absolute class. Comes on from the bench and instantly makes an impact. Kid is the closest thing there is to a Xavi/Iniesta level midfielder.

I think PSG could be a real force in the CL. Not sure, but I think they are missing one ingredient for that to happen.

Whether it's the coach, Ibra, or something else, they still need to change one piece in order to become a big threat to Barca, RM, and Bayern.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Mourinho immediately goes to PSG next season, given that PSG get knocked out in the round of 16 or quarterfinals.

Don't understand why Blanc hasn't tried this at least once. He's so stubborn

-------Cavani-Ibra
---------Pastore------
DiMaria------Verratti
----------Motta

I'm for that. Di Maria is better when he plays in midfield. Pastore is mandatory.

Ibra has to be benched imo. His last performances were disappointing.

Blanc is stupid, he will not change anything, because the team did'nt lose from the beginning of the season. Or maybe he tries to keep the cohesion of the team (theory of several journalists.) We will see but i'm not optimistic for the next game vs Real.

Match Recap:

- Probably our best start to a match all season outside of the tie with Madrid. All the goals that were missing through the middle of the week seemed to fall into the goal today. Attack looks very strong, excited to see the heights we can reach once Pastore returns. He and Di Maria are creative geniuses.

- Lucas! Came on in the 62nd minute and was lightning until the closing whistle. Looked like his old self again, full of energy and confidence to take defenders on. Scored a goal soon after coming on before setting up Zaltan 10 minutes later with one of the best runs you'll see through traffic. Be patient with his development and he can become our Douglas Costa. He's been around so long it's easy to forget he's still only 23.

- Kurzawa was poor today. Lost the ball practically anytime he touched it, but that could be chalked up to the inconsistency in his play time. Whatever the case, he needs to be better if he's to be relied upon in big matches.

- Kevin Trapp with yet another silly mistake today. Picked up the ball after a direct pass from a teammate upon pressure from the attack, setting up a direct Fk for the defense within our own box. Luckily it didn't cost us, but he has to quit making these blunders if we intend on going far in the UCL. Otherwise I would like to see Arreola brought back next season to see how he performs as the #1.

- Adrien Rabiot has been a revelation this season. Last year I wasn't so sure he'd develop into the player we need him to be, one that can step into Motta's role once the latter decides to hang up his studs without any loss in our consistency, and while he's not there quite yet, the potential is obvious. He's becoming stronger, more patient and intelligent on the ball, more decisive in his passing, etc. His performance against RM was excellent, and today he played the middle so well I almost didn't miss Marco. And he's still only 20 years old.
