Antoine Griezmann

Question isn't about how much is he gonna cost if he didn't have that buyout, question is do we need him?
Again, I don't see him as a good fit here, he isn't a Suarez replacement, he plays his best when there is a striker in front of him. He is a second striker who is left footed and hasn't been playing as winger for ages. In other words he plays in Messi position
You don't pay 100M for a player to rotate, he will come if the management already ensured him that he is a starter and they want him for that purpose, that will mean either fit him beside Messi and Suarez which would probably be unbalanced line up or bench Suarez which won't work best for Greiz or our attack due to bad fit. Never mind Suarez won't accept that easily.

:goodpost: Khaled, I could not have said it better myself.

I think the reason why Griezmann started beasting lately was because he had Diego Costa up front. Can't imagine him doing very well in Suarez's position. Unless he becomes Messi's sub but hard to imagine seeing that happen.

werner would go for what, 50-60m? with no competition for his name
would he accept a bench role?
it's really not as simple as picking a youngster and expecting them to accept our conditions.

No way, Leipzig wanted that for Forsberg in the summer. They will want closer to 100 million for Werner.

Griezmann is a left footed second striker, which is more or less Messi position. He isn't a 9 and probably will never be, and playing a winger is a thing of his past.
The question is about Griez himself not about Dembele. If Griez failed then it is 100M wasted even the rest of the players didn't fail.
This could be another Ibra from tactical standpoint, a player who will take the best position of Messi which will make him lose his spot or having to change positions which won't suit him much
And football isn't about how many stars you add, trying to fit Griez while we are still trying to integrate Dembele and Coutinho (like him or not, but there is zero chance the club and Valverde won't do everything they can to fit Dembele and make him look like worth the investment we made) could be disastrous
People talk about RM bench last year, but they forget that Zidane refused to make signings except bringing back Morata, putting faith in squad he had made the difference, something that actually made the difference for us since Crujif arrived but we are forgetting in past few years
We have enough star power, we need to let them gel and stop trying to bring more star power in the club and allow coach to build chemistry and work with what he has.

If you can get Griezmann for this price it would be ridiculously stupid not to acquire him.

No way will we get werner, not even for 200 mil. He will go to Bayern for free in 2 seasons when his contract runs out

So if we can get possibly 2 more attacking superstars for a cheap price we should all go for it? Utter bollocks. This isn't a black friday sale. If the introduction of Griezmann would mean Dembele seeing lesser time or either Suarez or Griezmann fighting for the starting spot, I would rather just stick with having the big 4 we have now. Why do we need one more attacker to complicate things?

It is pretty much a good black friday-deal if you can get him for 100m when his actual cost is 150m+.

Have you thought about injuries? Rotation without loosing too much quality? Drop in form? Extra firepower when needed?

All of these players except Suarez are very versatile and can play in different positions and roles, so they will get plenty of time.

Also 2 players fighting for a spot will force them to play to the best of their capabilities, which is better for the team.

How stupid are Atletico, if they sell Griezmann for 100mill, to a rival, nonetheless?
In todays market, Griezmann is a 200 mill player, easily.
